Esq, the US is so sue happy because jurys award too much too often. If awards were much lower or denied, then there would be less suits. My insurance company has a campain going on agaisnt those who have the bumper sticker on their cars taht says, "Go ahead and hit me, I need the money" because they advicate sueing.

Final - In Australia, we don't usually have the old "if you win then you can pay us" sort of agreements with lawyers, so suing is taken far more seriously here (and costs a lot more).
