Omg...Unreal 3 Engine Screenshots + Movie

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Omg...Unreal 3 Engine Screenshots + Movie

Yowzers! This is incredible. I was hoping to see some pics of the demo after Epic had first shown their Unreal 3 Engine. Absolutely incredible!

And here's the link to the crappy-quailty movie.

I think i have to go get a change of pants now.

Man, this coupled with the next gen set of video cards. Damn! As a side note, the benches for the NV40 are very impressing (unfortunatly we wont be seeing it for another 2 months AT LEAST). I dont think ive ever seen such a jump in performance between video card generations. But we still have ATI's X800XT to check out first.

Wow, is that an actual indicator of in-game graphics at reasonable settings?
If so it's time to start saving up for a lot of PC upgrades.

I read some articles about it; it's looks great, but completely inpractical as this stage, as no-one has a computer good enough to run it.

I cannot swear on the forums, but if I could....there would be ALOT of expletives about the quality of that. Awesome just doesn't cut it

The game isnt due out for another 2 years. So, Esq, im pretty sure by that time we will have the computer power to run the game decently.

The movie is incredible. The bricks and stuff look so real! Damn. Im guessing maybe after a few more video card generations, we will have the power necessary to do some truly realistic stuff.

This engine makes Doom 3 look like crap.

Looks frickin brilliant, I love these early sessions of what the next gen engines are capable of doing. I remember ooing and ahhing when id did the same thing with the Doom 3 engine and that was a few years ago.

As they said in the movie, the reason they were showing the demo was because at the moment the FX6800 has been the only card capable of producing half decent frame rates (and you can tell it's still pretty choppy). Up until that point they'd been working at 5 frames per second.

AWESOME!!!

Once sombody comes up with a practical and effective way to incorporate subatomic Particle physics into a game, we'll have gone from 'too real' to 'Is this real?', thats what the're gonna have to do if they want to develop truly immersive VR games

I don't like it.

The graphic are great, but, you can give me a good game over graphics any day. Like Final Fantasy VII, game was great, with brief movie like cut scenes was enough.

I don't like it.

I would say that I am suprised at that comment, but it would be a lie.

well i don't. All style and no content so far. Don't like Unreal or UT anyway.

It looks like Doom 3 but with less flat surface areas on the models, not that great
