Hmmm, threads are disappearing everywhere.

I didn't strive to start a mini war with our resident past poster extrodinaires...but if it gets out of hand here I may call in my trump card. Enough of you that have been around more than a year might know with whom I'm speaking of and it ain't Gibby.

Let's all take a deeeep breath and this too shall pass like a fart in the wind. Remember, I've been around longer than most of you save a few and I will protect this site with blinders on...most already had an idea about that but have no clue as to the potential. Sometimes its best not to show off, maybe I'm doing a bit of that myself right now so I'll lead by example and make the choice to just let a dead dog lie. I encourage others to do the same. 'Nuff said, let's all just carry on and get back to the normal routine.

Erm, threads disappearing might have been me "loosening the chaff" on a few cloaking threads......i got to about 50 before i stopped

I don't know what the big deal is, so what if 4 or 5 regulars know the secret to bypassing the locks? We have enough respect for this site not to abuse it. This was just an occasion where those that knew had fun from the goading of an *ahem* unnamed *ahem* mod. And one or two new people learned of this neat trick. No big deal.

I just wish there was some practical use to this knowledge. I mean, if it was somehow useful to prevent rampant posters, then i'd be more excited about it than I am now. As it was, this was just for mild amusement for a bit of time.

Although, in one of my plays, I made the joke I always get the last word, now I can justify that statement everywhere.

Chips, there's your downside to being a mod...we can't post like the regulars and it be a given we're kidding. Like because we do certain things here people assume we're serious all the time. Like am I being serious or am I kidding now in this post?

It's not the regulars, SnS. It's the ones who know that some regulars have the knowledge and want it for themselves for other reasons and not necessarily benign ones. Since it is do-able, as they say, the challenge is on to do it and then, er, have at it.
