I'm not sure, I can't see anything ununsual on your end either. Give your moniter a good, hard kick to see if that works

Oh crap! How come everything else on my PC looks alright?
I didn't change any settings at all.

Weird.

Edit: Upped my brightness a tad (3%) and it's looking sharp again. Still weird why suddenly the light grey areas of the site went purple. (not just the site though, but it was the best example)

I don't see any purple. It all looks normal to me.

I think I may be able to solve the problem, Nickless, are you on drugs? Drugs are bad, bro. Also, Command and Conquer: Generals is the game.

It could have been a problem with your moniter. It would explain why when anyone else (myself included) looked at the pic, it looked normal. The screen capture you took saves the right colors to the file (hence it's not a software problem), so everyone looking at the picture with a normal moniter sees it properly. But if you look at it while your moniter is messed up, it will show weird colors.

I had a problem with my screen not displaying red once, but there was a pin bent in the plug for the moniter. Bent it back, no more problems.

sounds like your electron gun is screwing up;
they normally go purple when they die, trust me
i know (killed four of em, me-self)

that is assuming that you HAVE a CRT monitor,
if you dont, STOP EATING CARDAMINE!

You could try degaussing the monitor...
usually if you have problems with colours, degaussing will fix it, also, check if you have any magnetice devices around the monitor(Transformers, etc.) as they will cause the screen to distort and flicker(seen it myself)

One of the red guns went on my monitor many years ago; every part of WC that was supposed to be red was black. It made playing it rather diffuclt . It's probably just a loose monitor cable, or else maybe you have an unshielded speaker next to your monitor or something.

ive seen the site with purple ,green and all manner of shades but thats due to one of my monitors being a bit iffy these days ie. every now and again it takes a flakey normally a degaus sorts it but not always ,all i can say is it makes a change

I got a TFT monitor. No guns, no degause none of that all.

I think it's the drivers or maybe the vidcard itself (I hope not)
Anyway, as I said in my last edit, I upped the brightness a tad and now it's alright. I have no idea why a normaly good working comp suddenly produces these strange colours. The only bit going purple on my monitor was the light-rey areas of this site. I suspect it will do the same with other light grey-ish colours and that it's got nothing to do with the site.

Anyway, it's sorted now and if it starts to bother me I'll have a better look into it. I'll post a helpdesk question when that happens
