Not enough virtual memory?
This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Hi. Every time i try to play Freelancer MP the game shuts down and i get a message saying that theres not enough virtual memory. Can anyone help me with this problem?
If you are running virtual mem, it is your hard drive. Its either getting full, or needs a derframenting badly. Try that to get more space for virt mem. How much ram do you have? Vid card?

look just do this, ok? right click on My Computer, go to properties>advanced>performance>settings, choose adjust for best performance, then click on advanced, set both options for programs, then go to virtual memory>change, highlight drive C: and select maximum size>system managed size for the paging file settings, then click set and ok and ok again and ok again. If you feel like it, you might want to turn off Remote Access, Error Reporting and Windows Update as they all eat up memory too. Also if your hard drive is full (less than 10% free, this will slow your system right down. I always keep mine under 50% used and it really does make a difference as the paging file can expand and contract quite a bit. Also check your start up folder as you might have stacks of background stuff running (and probably do) and if you've been Kazaa-ing, kill that too as it eats system resources.
You may also have a virus, many use Word as the default html editor and rewrite the word templates in order to open up silly pages. Do a full virus scan with UPDATED definitions. Find the normal.doc file, delete it or rename it and reopen Word and the template will be recreated cleanly, thus fixing that problem. I see this quite a lot.
