SW Episode 2

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

SW Episode 2

Does anyone here think that Hayden Christiansen screwed up the entire movie? I HOPE SOMEWONE TAKES YOUR PLACE IN EPISODE 3 YOU RETARD!!!

Lucas screwed up the whole new trilogy.

He's a great idea man, but a poor director.

I agree, the plot was predictable and boring. Film makers nowadays seem to spend the whole budget on special effects and hire really bad actors, directors and writers for low prices.

Anakin especially, he goes through the entire film with this irritating smirk on his face which makes me want to strangle him.

Well it was far superior to Episode 1 *shudder*. Must... kill... Jar Jar...

Meh, I didn't think he did that bad a job. Except for the love scenes, especially the sand bit *shudder*. Anyway Episode II was infanately better than Episode I, I don't care how wonderful a child actor may be, they are still kinda crap.

Sorry but I enjoyed Episode II.

I agree though whatshisface annoying idiot, did spoil the movie a little for me. Apart from that though I loved it...especially the cityscapes.

He was good in II. and He already has done III. No one knows the back groung od anichan (sp) so it is a toss up as to how to play it. I liked the secne were he hugs the gilr and his shadow looks like vader.

My only problem is that Lucas focused too much on Anakin and not enough on Obi-Wan who I think is the best character in the prequel trilogy. Anakin did too much damn whining. "He won't let me move on! It's not fair! He's holding me back!" Shaddup already! I guess that's the way the character was written and Hayden pulled it off fairly well. So props to him. I also hate the way they killed off Jango Fett. They killed him off too soon. It's anticlimactic the way he had his head lopped off. I think the biggest problem with this new trilogy is how it focuses to much on the special effects. Yeah, they're all whiz-bang and all, but what happened to the story? Too much eyecandy gets in the way of the story like it did in Episode II. I'm kind of pissed about that. I still enjoyed Episode II a lot though. Horrible dialogue and for the most part, bad acting(except on Ewan McGregor's part).

It's also anticlimatic how useless Jango was- did he actually DO anything other than look threatening?
The only decent thing about him is his equipment- imagine Dath Maul/ Tyrannus/ Vader with wrist-lasers...
Am I the only one who doesn't think Count Dooku was a crap character? I liked him, but no-one else seems to.
I don't think Lucas is THAT bad a director. It's only the scriptwriters I don't like.
And anyway, what do you mean the plot was predictable?
IT'S SET IN THE PAST!

In Ep 1 Lucas added in some extra footage into the film, which did aid the film to be somewhat (if on a miniscule level) better.

I saw some of the deleted scenes for Ep 2 which were on the second DVD disc. It showed Padme and Anakin at her family's house with her family. I really like those scenes and I think they should have been put back into the film. I like Ep 2, but I think I may have really liked it with those great character scenes included.

Anakin maybe a whining snivelling smug git, but he HAS to be. Remember, he has to be lured by the dark side of the force, the easy way (always trying to take it is anakin), always seeking recognition, resenting others views, thinks to much of himself. He is supposed to do all this, whilst being the most annoying teenager possible, because he HAS to succumb to the dark side. If he had ironfast resolve, will power and modesty/humbleness - he would never become evil - therefore flawing all films. The fact you hate him so is just a sign that the actor did a good job in portraying the role.....................possibly.

I saw another movie with this actor in it (called My Life as a House). It's a really, really odd movie, about a dying architect and his really messed up son (portrayed by hayden). I dunno if anyone would actually like this movie, but anyway, he was actually really good in it. I saw it after star wars, and at first i didn't even want to watch it because of how annoyed I felt at him after that. But I sat through it (it's long though).

He starts out by playing a role similar to anakin in some ways (snotty teenager). He is seriously messed up, hooked on drugs, huffing paint in his bedroom, not really caring about anything. But he gets out of it slowly... anyways, it's hard to explain, im just posting to say this guy has acted well in another movie. I still can't stand him in episode II though.

You can't really blame Hayden for the wooden script, he did his best with what he had. Lucas makes every sentence much longer than it would naturally be in normal dialogue. Plus if you've seen any pics of Hayden for Ep3, you just know he fits the role perfectly.
Having said all that, I couldn't stop myself laughing at this

The only part about EpII I liked was the clone troopers. They were great!

@Corsair: I did like Count Dooku. Mostly because I like Christopher Lee. He always makes a great bad guy.
