Me old comp. can run anything really well at 1280x960 (my preferred res.). I'm happy with it; especially my good old Radeon.

By the way, does anybody else name their computer (and HDD partitions), or am I just nuts?

nooooo not another namer! wots wrong with "Server" "Client1" "Client2" and so on? silly programmers call theirs names like "Blackberry" "strawberry" and so forth, others use names like Gandalf and Aragorn (that's not so bad though)

@esquilax: You're gonna have to wait until fall for HL2. But the rumor is that Doom 3 is going to be out next month, and I have heard nothing to the contrary. So, here's hoping for Doom 3. As for Duke Nukem Forever, I wouldn't worry about that one since it won't come out for another 25 years.

Mee - Tell me about it! I'm convinced that that whole "source code" theft was just a publicity stunt. As for Doom3 well, I doubt I'll buy it. Not until it becomes cheap anyway

Final - My PC is called "Typhon", and my two partitions are "EXECUTOR" ( C: ), and "DEFIANT" ( D: ). I think that we all know who "Typhon" was...

But what anout the other two? Any takers?

Typhon=one of the Titans, imprisoned under Etna by the Olympian Gods for his rebellion.

Executor=duh.... from some sci-fi film trilogy, muppets, teddy bears, stuff like that, erm

also the name of a large grass-type pokemon.

Defiant=rather undistinguished British fighter of the late 30s, built by Boulton-Paul, did good service during the Blitz as a night-fighter.

Final is right about the Defiant, although there were elements of Taw's answer in there as well. Taw is right on the money about Typhon, but the "Executor" was Vader's command ship in SW; you know, the SSD in Ep 3. The names made sense at the time...

You think your computers are crap?! Ha! I'm still on a Geforce2, 1.8 GHz P4, 128 MB RAM, 20GB Hard drive and I can still play games like NFS U at good graphics.
