now im no fashion victim. but i dont wear my good shirts around the house. i have my old converse one-star shoes (the star on the side is non-existant, all ripped) and jeans that should have been retired a long time ago.
However, if im going to the city, ill put on my good shirt and jeans. i get clothes about twice a year. i own only three pairs of jeans, and about a dozen 'dude shirts'. (shirt shirts, not t-shirts, and have the buttons hidden)
thats all i need. that and a dr. pepper. i feel like one now.

the only problem i have is paying over $40 AUD for a tshirt that has a logo on it. or over $60 AUD for a pair of pants. (even though sometimes i have to to get the length in the leg)

Hawaiian shirts still are sold in Hawaii. Some are considered collectibles. New ones that look like the old collectibles are very expensive.

I don't own any authentic ones but I have a couple that are "Hawaiian" in style. They are very comfortable, loose fitting, made to be worn not tucked in. Great for the warm weather. Don't know why I get gawked at when I wear one about town....

unless there are snakes, in which case it's not a good idea to wear a kilt.

I knew this Scots lad on our ship, Murdo was his name, very proud of being a Scot, almost always wore his kilt when we went ashore. Until we stopped at Zanzibar and a dirty big black and very venomous snake tried to get up his kilt! I never saw anyone run as fast and, oddly, we didn't see much of his kilt after that think it was a mamba, I didn't hang around to find out, 'cos I hate snakes too.

that's true actually, they do. Always wondered about that, seeing someone who may be a total oik and lacking any attractive qualities whatsoever can put a kilt on and become a babe-magnet. Wtf is that all about?

my total expenditure on clothes the past... 6 years:
20USD.

i'm serious there. it might even be less. anways, i want to get some newer clothes, so to say. but i'm content with what i have.. i hate jeans for some reason, can't move very well in them. i like the more flexible material, looks the same as jeans but who am i to say.. and then its the collar-less shirt for me. for some reason the sleeves of all short sleeved shirts don't go as far as my elbow.. whereas guys wearing the same thing have the sleeves cover all of their elbows.. is my arm that long?!


anyways. i never look at any type of media long enough to recognise 'fashion' . but i do know that this *would* be an endless debate if only one member of the opposite sex came on..
