Email virus making the rounds I think.

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Email virus making the rounds I think.

I received 3 odd emails just today. So I want to warn people about it, because it seems to originate from our people.

I never sent such a thing. So if you received this, delete it. The Finalday one nearly got me, because I just sent him my play.

The thing that worries me about the return notification one is that it was sent to a military address. I hope I don't get feds beating down my door because they think I sent that s***.

I wonder if it was some twisted sick f*** who took my address from Warlord Bob's death announcement. I'm removing it now just in case.

ll you can do is worry about your own house. Do a virus scan of your system, and please do not post language on here that will obviously be censored.

Got one from Chips address too. Opera red the attachment as having the bagel virus, so not opened.

That's very coincidental .....

My account at work was hit with the following which, thankfully, our AV caught
and quarantined. It came as a zip file attachment called....
"Attach.zip"

And it contained the
"W32.Beagle@mm!zip" virus.

Am I imagining things or has virus frequency become greater recently? Seems like ever since the "I love you" virus, the time between waves of virus attacks is getting shorter and shorter.

Have you read the end of "The Taming of the Psycho?!"

Besides I've been on this site for 10 months and I know all the rules and I have never seen anyone called on what I just did with how I edited it. It just annoys me that someone might see a death announcement and the first thing that strikes their thoughts is "opportunity."

hehe - Finalday actually got one from my non existant addy that is in my profile here:

[email protected]

Erm - there is no such email addy
The only place with this addy is here......

Post Mon Mar 15, 2004 10:43 am

I've had one of them, haven't touched it apart from looking at it. I don't recognise the addy though.
It was this:

Subject: Weah, hello! :-)
Message: Looking forward for a response

Edit: I also had the same attachment as you SS.

I still haven't received any infected emails. I feel so left out . Since it is an encrpted zip filel, it sounds as if you guys are probably getting the good old "Bagle" worm. Fun.

Does anyone remember the good old days? You know, the "Stoned" virus, etc? I'm sure that Taw must. Those were the days!

I just got the same thing around noon from Mustang's address. I think someone's using our own addresses against us.

I have an idea! If someone gets an email from another TLR member, email them before you open up since there's been a lot of viruses using our own addresses.

@Sir Spectre, you've been here long enough to know better though and you know it.

I can't catch 'em all!

But I will look over that thread now that it's been brought up.
