Terrible, terrible news ... Warlord Bob we send with you ou

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

I have never had the pleasure of being able to talk to him before he passed on, but the evil that is cancer is possibly the worst thing to have inflicted upon someone. I pray he finds eternal happiness in the hereafter.

This is really terrible news. I think that he really will be missed here on TLR and where ever he was. I really feel terrible now.

To all that Knew Bob

Your loss is my loss

We wash away our sorrow

and now we lose one to the clutches of darkness.
however, i reccomend we set up the Warlord Bob Foundation to find a cure for cancer. (wishful thinking, i know)

Bob, may you find your way to another life, and all of us here at the epsilon mod, Nova design and jl-design pray you find your way to your very own promised land.

After talking to Harrier, the Epsilon Team is prepared to make a ship, a shield, and a cannon in his memory. The ship will be called the Warlord, the shield will be called the 'Shield of Worth'.
however, we are a bit stuck for an idea for his last name Riley. any suggestions would be much appreceated in our honoring his memory

rest in peace buddy, you fought well
From Jacob Nathaniel Langley, and all the Epsilon Mod team members.

maybe someone should hold a 21 missile salute for him or something similar on one of the servers, video it and send it in?

my sincere apologies for being so carried away with my exams. this is undoubtedly far, far more important.

Worth Riley/warlord bob, i'm just.. speechless. i was really happy that someone else had come to populate the Homeworld forum when you came along..

then i had so absent mindedly not mentioned TLR when you came to ask about FL fan sites. then you found it. i'm very very sorry i never mentioned it earlier.

from the short time i've known you, you were clearly a noted member of the TLR community. with what you were fighting, you're the bravest person i've ever had the privilege to meet, even though not face to face.

i'm still unable to believe this. but where ever you may be, i bid you a heartfelt farewell. you will be greatly missed. perhaps, one day, we can have a HW match up there

but until then, goodbye and godspeed to where ever you're headed to next. whereever that may be, your heart and soul will be a truly valued asset.

with his loss, we lose a great person that could have really made a difference. during the short time i've known him, he was, and still is, and will forever be a shining individual, of great wisdom and knowledge (especially the physics bits ) and also one of great taste for humour and understanding.

i wil most definitely find somehow to make up for his loss, if not recruiting the help of other TLRers.

to all else that knew him, my sympathies reach out to you as well. this is not a happy day.

The posts here say a lot about about the guy he was
He's on the next journey now

Gun name - Bane of Bob. You've then got Bob twice... cunning eh? Bolt of Brilliance? My first thought was a Blaze of blue... Then I remembered there's already a Blue Blaze

Bob's banisher
Bob's battle - perhaps a little too close? Maybe better though... thoughts?

Once again, my thoughts are with you Bob, wherever you may be.

Maybe instead of making a gun, make a whole type of gun! Call it the Riley gun and have some neat effect like a blaster pistol or something?

-@WB's Mom: Stay strong, you did a great thing by letting us know and I appreciate that. (tuvok: Live long and prosper!)

This thread should probably be stickied, just so that Bob can always be remembered here at TLR...

Post Fri Mar 12, 2004 8:02 am

yes it should that'd be a fitting tribute

I'm an atheist. I incredibly doubt he'll be going anywhere from here, but if he is, I hope it's somewhere nice. I just hope his family are OK and can move on and get on with life.

PS. Between the time when I posted this, and the time you read it a lot of people will have died. I hope that one day, people will learn to care about THEM too, and not just the people they knew. Ah well. 'Tis a funny old world...
