uh oh not good

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

[email protected]

Anytime I get any e-mail with a bunch of mixed up letters in the name it goes straight to the can. Spam or worse, virus/worm, I can if there is anything identifiable in the subject, block them from further mail.

It's probably my friend Will, he deleted the entire network at school and reset the homepages to his website. He did all of this in homeroom one day. Thank god for firewalls!

how can you "delete" a network :p

Post Wed Mar 10, 2004 5:28 pm

At work you go to the main computer that is acting as our sever, and delete the Icon on the c: Drive that links the other computers to it. Someone did it recently by accident

It was still there, it was just empty except for his files. We all call it the Bosen Virus.

1) he's a dumbass for managing to do that
2) who ever set up the network in ur shcool is a dumbass for letting people or other computers to access the computer that acts as a server

I get spam like that every day - it usually happens when the email client can't recognise the fundamentals of a HTML email. If you were to view it in another email program you'll probably soon see the nudeys you were hoping for

Seriously though, it doesn't sound like a virus to me, I get 100+ of these a day. Don't panic

Post Thu Mar 11, 2004 3:48 am

i used to get these all the time from people saying things like:

"i know your password"
"here is your requested file"
"here is the file you asked for"
"file attached, please read"
.
..
...

and so on and so forth...

every single one of these e-mails carried a *.zip file, entitled document.zip or something like it! DO NOT OPEN THESE THINGS...

We keep saying that Cardy, but people still do. Then they'll come crying to us... when they get their computer back from the shop!

I don't even use attachments and if i open one I only open ones from people I know and I'll contact them and ask them what it is first. I don't even send attachments because that increases the likelihood of it not being opened.
