I''m going to take a long hard look at my life.....

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

nds" at all, But that didn't mean I was a lonely man. I only had Like-minded people to talk to, I didn't belong to any-one nor any group, I was free to go and do whatever I wanted to do. Everyone considered me a Renegade from their standards,

I'm like that but I'm a "Freak"

I wonder, why is being different a bad thing?

Being different is not a bad thing, other wise we would all be carbon copys. Being different to always being alone can hurt us. When we need some one to talk to, confide in, there is no one to trust to keep a confidence. There is no one to call when we need help from an answer, or physical labor help. Take it from someone who has been alone for 28 of my 44 years, it isn't fun. Now I am learning to be carefull who becomes a close freind, but protecting those who do. I have one freind who I can tell any thing and sthey are always there for support and I would not trade it for anything in this world.

I have lots of friends, not close, but people who don't abuse me. We're kind of like all of the social outcasts because we're smarter or we listen to rock music, or we're just different from the rest of society. Actually our friendships are more based upon the "safety in numbers" system. On the bus It's a totally different story. I'm the only social outcast in the back so all I do is sleep and watch my back.

I'm not nerdy, im just... uh... yeah, I'm nerdy.

I really appreciate that Heltak but, as I have said, I have a great dislike of chatting in general, and I only chat with my cousins. In fact, it's been four moths since the last time I chatted with them. Besides, I have you guys here on TLR to speak to, don't I?

Wolfy - You'll get used to it. Friends come when you least expect it. Trust me.

I'm inviting you as I would rather not have it public what I say.

I know most people disagree with me but being different is NOT a bad thing. Like a said Lone Wolves of today are the cooler guys of tomorrow. Assuming of course, that by being different, you're not trying to become some kind of anti-social psychopathic mutoid of some sort.

But if being different means that you like your own kinds of things that are not necessarily called "cool" by everyone else at school, like say you like astronomy but no one in your school thinks that looking at stars and planets on your free time is cool, its their loss. Or say you actually like to help out at a charity of some kind, maybe taking warm meals to the elderly and infirm but your friends think your a dork for not watching the number one hit program on tv with them.
Stuff like that.

I know, I'm exagerrating. But what if you'd rather read than go see a movie or practice playing your guitar instead of listening to music CDs... what's wrong with that?

I'd rather write than hang with friends a weekends, I also love forests and such even planets but I can't STAND sitting on a street corner doing **** all
