ok I've had a rethink. F*** web design. Give me a bar on a nice long sandy beach somewhere hot, english speaking (cos I'm crap with languages), away from english lager louts and full of attractive women. I want to manage it...and by that I mean spend half an hour behind the bar when I can be bothered, and the rest of the time surfing or recording amateur musicians in the bar's back-room-come-recording-studio. The bar at night would of course offer all manner of blues, jazz and accoustic live music....and shuts when I want it to shut.

I guess I'd like to be a Marine biology researcher on some unknown coral reef system like the pheonix islands (North East of Fiji) or perhaps somewhere with a little more contact with the civilised world... maybe a satelite linked computer would solve that one

Actually I gotta admit I am a little jealous of your job Grom, I've got an artistic side that needs to be scratched every once in a while and desktop support doesn't really do much for it. But I'm crap at programming and there's phark all money in web design in Australia.

I would like a full-time IT job; period. That'll do for now. After a few years, I'll have a more realistic appraisal to offer. Ask me then .

no it's cr*p. do something else or you'll end up like me. cynical and misanthropic. seriously, it's a rottten job and i only do it cos I'm reasonably good at it (don't enjoy it at all, I get no pleasure from computers anymore like I used to)
