Wolfy, I ran part of it on Sam Spade and >Message-Id: <[email protected]< Shows as a Juno address. It may be forged by someone using your address, or that virus that was going around.

Run spyware killer AND Anti-Virus scan the entire system. Better to be safe than sorry.

Wolfy you twonk you're completely riddled with Novarg/MyDoom. this is what you get for not paying attention when we were discussing this last week. You need proper antivirus with all virus def. updates, run an AV scan on ALL your hard drive(s) and check to insure your e-mail account is enabled for AV scanning of files & attachments.

btw you might consider getting a firewall while you're at it, at the moment i expect you're wide open to the world and his uncle

Your ISP usually can offer some form of Firewall service - ask them (and its free), and ones like AOL automatically remove any suspect packages from emails too - so my mail is scanned going in/out of AOL (ie, i cannot send out virus as it would get removed, and i cannot receive it as it gets removed). They also keep you up to date. AOL also gives you access to online virus checkers, adaware, spybot and many others that it recommends (all free of course ). Seriously - dunno whom your ISP is - but they probs do the same sort of thing - you just gotta ask a little for it

Just some of my faborite utiltiy links.

Norton (Check your security while on that page)
Pop-up Stopper
Ad-Aware (to get rid of spyware)
Spybot S n D (to get rid of spyware as well, pick one and stick with it)
Zone Alarm Firewall to keep Zeratural from hacking into your system and turning it into a zombie

All links are free software .(even Norton) and should be on every single computer in the world. It would be such a nicer place to surf.

Some people never learn "*shakes head* .

You know, there is a lot of controversy around because apparently a lot of IT types (like Taw ), are blaming the average user for the propagation of MyDoom, etc. This is because they blame thew average user for a) not learning from their mistakes, and b) refusing to take precautions. This argument DOES have some merit from my point of view, after all I am an IT type msyelf, but it seems a little harsh. What's your opinion?

I found out the hard way 3 years agao, when I picked up a virus and it wipe everything I had. Norton for AV and Blackice for FW first year All Norton there after. Never faild me yet. Like Justin Wilson, a cajon cook on tv, I wear a belt and Suspinders, cause I'm a safety man.

Finalday

Edit, Ran AdAware again, for some reason I keep finding a Data Miner. I havn't downloaded anything in days, installed any new programs. anyone else get these. PS, I deleted it again.

Until that final day. /Keith Green\ (1953-1983)

Which do people prefer McAfee or Norton AV? (Looks like Stinger likes Norton) I'm about to decide on one.
