Also, I should mention that there is a rumour that HL2 will not be available to new customers who purchase the cards. I think that they are taking the vouchers out of the boxes or something. It's just a rumour, and I can't remember where I heard it.

Wolfy - True, but HL2 was designed to be the big ATI game, just like Doom 3 is designed to be the big nVidia game. It's a long story, and they only reason HL2 isn't close to be released (it's still months away) is because someone stole some of the HL2 source code, and they wanted to rewrite it. Personally, I think that it was a publicity stunt, but that's neither here nor there as they say.

Wolfy - Firstly, I had X2 for a short time, and it was perfectly playable on my 9700 on 1280x960 with full detail. Secondly, WinRAR is a compression program, similar to WinZIP, it is not a Hex Editor. It may have that capability, but it is not designed for that purpose.

It says only 128 MB of DDR ram, I would personally go with the 256 MB of DDR ram. Its just that much better and doesn't necessarily need to burn a hole in the pocket either.

the only thing my dads computer has over mine is that its harddrive is 3 times a big as mine
but who needs that when it has a suckie sound card and a graphics card that wont support any game what so ever; my friends and i call it the McDonalds playplace graphics card lol

Well, the obvious statement is; try it! See how it runs, and if it runs poorly (most likely) then buy a new graphics card.
