This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

not bad. it's Captain Britain, Marvels attempt to make a British superhero. I thought it was pants at first, but the later stories actually got pretty weird and rather good imho. But then it died through lack of interest

tied in to the Marvel multi-verse through the actions of Kang the Conqueror (remember him?) but as far as i know no other Marvel char's appeared in it.

i remember the comic guy "Union Jack" except he never worked for the Unions, which was odd. i dont know who did him or what he was up to, but i just remember the name.

@arch, do you mean Union Jack Jackson? if so he was a Warlord character, a Royal Marine who was attached to the US Marine Corps in the Pacific. Not really one of my Warlord favourites, Sniper Kelly was a lot better, Hawk Squadron, and Drake RN of E-Boat Alley, who sort of inspired me to join the Navy myself. You must have been tiny to have seen any of this stuff, although it was still being published mid-to-late 80s.

@grom. just out of interest, i scouted round various Eagle sites. I think this link will demonstrate why it was axed!

I'm going to concede jsut for the sake of harmony.....Marvel and DC are both very good comic book companies and I hope they both last forever.

I think my main qualm with Superman is that he doesn't grab people by the head and tear them limb from limb. Superman would make a much better villain. I've always been a fan of the bad guy (really Doom? we didn't notice.....) So superman just kinda gets my goat being such a nice guy.

on a completely different subject that is realted in every way.....anyone remember the marvel/dc crossover series?? that was good stuff.....but I thought that Supes shoulda faught Silver Surfer....it would have been a much closer fight than Superman and Hulk. Hulk is tough but.....he can't fly. thats a major downfall. My favorite battle in there was Wonder Woman vs. Storm. Lobo vs. Wolverine could have been a LOT better if they had thought it out a bit more. it was kinda anti-climactic. Also I have to sight Thanos vs. Darkseid. This couldn't have turned out better. I'm surprised Thanos even wasted words on Darkseid he was so superior. and the added bonus of Thanos being the only thing in two multiverses to speak when the heavens started bleeding??? and what's he say? "It's beautiful...." classic Thanos.

Oh yeah and Captain Britain is still around as far as I know. Though I don't know if he has his own comic. Excalibur was basically the British version of The Avengers, much like Alpha Flight is the Canadian version. Excalibur and The Avengers work togather a lot. Also Psylocke is Captain Britain's sister. Psylocke is a long standing member of the X-men.

Good?....Bad?......I'm the guy with the gun.

Well I didn't want to give it away.......oh well

If you are a wonder woman fan you probably wouldn't like how this one turned out....but then it really could've only gone the way it did.....

Wonder Woman in a miraculous feat of.......wonder.....manages to lasso Storm while she's flying around on the wind.......So Storm abandons her normal kinder-gentler X-man values, decides that she is basically fighting for her entire reality, and promptly throws the biggest lightening bolt she can at Wonder Woman......long story short .....crispy critters bye bye wonder woman.

would this be considered a spoiler???? heh.

Good?....Bad?......I'm the guy with the gun.

Lynda Carter would win it every day of the week and twice on a sunday as far as I'm concerned.

...its just something about that whip and those boots....lol.

Post Thu Jan 08, 2004 3:21 am

can't say i'd noticed! (lies - I'd crawl over broken glass just to lick her boots clean)

*sigh* she's only running because she's seen me across the road and wants to say "hi, Taw, you're a stud, come back to my Amazon homeland and father my super-children and those of my virgin Amazonian maidens too.." well i have a spare couple of hours and it's hard to say no when they're so tearful, isn't it?

I would say the most awesome superhero(s) would be the Avengers hands down, a good amount of superheros. Captain America, Ironman, etc...

finaly he realises

Anyway, to butt in my 2 cents: Spiderman, will see his 2nd movie and also The-X-man-with-the-x-ray-vision-whos-name-I-obviously-forgot (soon-to-be-) husband of Jean Grey (Famke ) whos name for obvious reasons I can remember
Oh well, it's been a while since I read my last comic, unless you count Garfield, which I love. I'm a cat person

Oh, and Wolverine, but everyone like Logan
