EDIT:
@Arcon: how can you possibly like JD and not Southern Comfort (or SoCom as we like to call it)?!?! SoCom is sooooooo good, especially with some 7-up! (and JD sooooooooooo gross!)

ff - Yes I do see women drinking beer. ALL the time, and I don't even frequent pubs/bars! Also, that wasn't spam! Bah, he's just testy because I pick him up on his spam every chance I get. I find it amusing. Besides, everyone knows that he is currently TLRs most prolific spammer. And don't say it ain't so!

maswastage - That's good to know, and I salute you for it *salutes* . It's good to know that I'm not the only one. Not that being a tea-totaller bothers me!

So, it would appear that beer is the most popular beverage by a small margin. The next question is, why? I can sort of understand wine drinkers, but it seems like a lot of pretension. "Yes, this was aged in oak barrels with a lingering scent of bayberry and a slight undertone of pepper." Yeah, sure, I believe you .

I agree, most of those people are pretentious w*nkers. But there is a big difference between a good wine and a crap wine. I enjoy a glass of red from time to time, get a good one (ie expensive one) and it'll go down like silk. Get a bad one however, and it'll go down like expired rat poison.

I know naff all about wine though, I just buy expensive bottles and nine times out of ten it's good gear.

That's what they say; the more expensive the wine, the better it is. All the evidence points that way, however I wouldn't know from personal experience (obviously) .

Arcon - There's nothing "wrong" with alcohol, I just don't understand its attraction.

I prefer Ueber Beer (local brand), Svyturio Extra (another local brand, won the silver medal in World's Beer Competition in 2001 (I think) , other local brands. Next to that comes only Chech beer.
And, of course, vodka (local brands only). I'm kinda patriotic in that matter

"Beer is proof that god loves us and wants us to be happy"

@Loc - 16. It's not that I deprive myself of an opinion, it's the fact that I have one that I wonder about.

>Whiskey In No Order of Preference
George Dickel
Glen Morangie
Wild Turkey
