Why are you here?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Why are you here?

Why were you drawn to these forums/this website? What compelled you to stay?
Just asking out of curiosity.
I came here seeking info for freelancer, and for some reason decieded to sign up in order to complain about rights for bounty hunters or some othe useless peice of cack. Right, I'm done now. I await your responses.....

I came here to rule as the Prince of Daftness

Ok, not realy. I got here for info about the soundbug (mission three, damn rheinlanders freezing up) and I got stuck here reading all the info and stuff, until I finaly decided to make a comment on a topic about a slightly negative review.
I'll see if I can find it. It'll be nice to see my first post again. To see how much of a newby I was back then

Edit: Damn spelling.

I came here from a link from a Gamespy site, which happens to be LancersHQ, Because I was interested in Freelancer
A site where one of our mods, Tachyon also is a staff member,

I decided to look over the site and I put it on my favourites, after a few days I found out about the forums. After a few months of Idling finally, on the 27th of Februari, this year, I signed up. First only the discussion forum and a day after I joined the Off-Topic board, and styed there. To this day I seldomly to never go back to the spoilers and discussion forums, I am always to be found here in OT, because it is cramming with n00bs there (to my opinion).

I searched for info on ships and systems. The MS website sucked so I googled it. I stayed because I like the pretty background. --- VH16

Came here for the SL discussion and moddings 3 years ago got hooked up ever since, and then together with Eraser, we bred out a genetically-engineered hypno-toad to control Bargib's mind and make us mods.....

Ahh... t'was the summer of 2001. Browsing through the zone's Starlancer Deathmatch page, I stumbled upon a link to this site. After that it's a bit hazy .
Although I seem to remember stuff about modding for starlancer. I think it was the first online community I joined. So, naturally, I've stayed.

I searched for FL info and found this place. Somehow got sucked in a few months ago and have been unable to escape since.

Why do I stay? Hmm. Perhaps cardamine is in fact a visual drug and the nifty starry background is laced with it

I was looking for info. And I stayed because of the people.

Why am I here?. Interesting Question, with many answers.

On Earth: It differs for every person and Religion.

The Universe: Same as Earth, except more broad. An example :

People - "What is the answer to the Universe and everything in it?"
Computer - "42"
People - "WHAT ???"
Computer - "But what is the question ?"

I saw a poll on a site "Are you an avid visitor of the Lancers Reactor?" on a FL related site. I also came for information on various things about the game, actually a while before it came out. I just came to see all the details they collected so far, and I also downloaded the trial from LancersReactor, then i figured one day ill check out what the banter is about the Lancer universe. Thats when I decided to make 2-3 posts and see what happens, of course, i was mortified to find that the people here are cool so i stayed Im a member currently of 5 other forums, but my latest post on those **shudder** other forums was almost a month ago. So really, I guess its the people..... nothing more, nothing less

sheeeet! god, i really cant remember to be honest, HOW i got here. I recall it was Starlancer related. I think i came on because i was having endless problems with the final level and i just checked out the information pages. Then once i completed it i started going on the 'Zone' to deathmatch. That got a bit old. So i started to check out the forums and because there was such a small crew on them, the guys helped me out pretty damn quick so i popped more questions and pretty soon i was posting all the time.

Incidentally, little known factoid, i used to work at LancersHQ because Surge, the Admin, is crap at updating. But when i signed up, there was literally NO news about Freelancer. It was about the time the TLR decided to fill up the news pages it would start a bit of coverage of "shudder" brute force. After about 3 months of absolutely NO news, ergo, no forum posts, the site kinda dried up and i lost interest. Then, when news started coming in, i forgot i was a member of the site. I dont know but i could still have username and password privelages

i found the site fl portal *shivers* ( that site sucks badly ) from the ms page, and they had a link on the ms page to here, so i stayed, as people here know what theyre talking about.
