Here you go Wolfy, a bit of an extract on the Germanic govt system.

The Basic Law creates a dual executive but grants most executive authority to the federal chancellor, as head of government, rather than to the president, who acts as head of state. The presidency is primarily a ceremonial post, and its occupant represents the Federal Republic in international relations.

So basically the Chancellor is the head dude, (like the Prime Minister in Britain or Australia) and the President is the Head of State (Like the Queen of England or Governer General of Australia).

or you could have a Kaiser, Wolfy!

make sure u use lots of good stock german sayings, like "ach himmel," "mein gott," "halt englischer schweinhund," all good genuine stuff.

for Kusari, quotes like "banzai," "hey tommy u velly bad we shoot u good," and of course the old favourite, also works for germans, "aiiiieeeeee!"

just off to read my back issues of Hotspur and Warlord now.

(mission accomplished. Wolfy is guaranteed to be totally confused now!)

divine wind is what kamikaze means, a storm blew up when korea went to attack japan ( No, not during the korean war, waaay before that )

It is better to aim for the stars and hit the tops of the trees than to aim for nothing and hit it dead on.

Post Tue Dec 16, 2003 3:25 pm

yes Kamikaze means Devine winds, a name which is allready over 800 years old and comes from the time that Korea Attacked Japan, they were withheld by a group of Kamikaze Warriors, they decided to make their ultimate sacrifice to their emperor and gave up their lives so the japanese empire could withstand the Korean invasion,

the word Banzai also comes from that period in time, what I have heard, it means so much as: For the emperor

@Loc

Nice story but, sorry, not accurate. Koreans, yes. There was a fleet composed mainly of Korean sailors on warships built by Korean shipwrights that was sent to invade Japan ....TWICE in the late 13th Century. However, this was not an expression Korean imperialism. Rather, Korea had been brought under the rule of the Mongol Horde as had most of China at that point and pretty much all of Northern Asia and Western Russia right up to the Polish steppes. So Mongol soldiers also were involved in the attempted invasions.

The Divine Wind was a typhoon that wrecked a number of the invasion fleet and forced the rest to retreat to Korea.

Those invaders that landed were defeated by the defending Japanese who knew, basically, that were it not for the storms, they surely would have been defeated.

This wrecking of the Mongol invasion fleet by Typhoons happened twice and saved the day for Japan twice the two invasions were about 7 years apart.

The "banzai" cheer has a very rough translation into something like 10,000 joys. It doesn't make much sense in western languages but has meaning based upon the religious and philosophical traditions in East Asia. In one of the Chinese languages I think the same word is "mansei" or something close to that. It does not originate from the Mongol invasion as a uniquely Japanese word, so to speak.

In the Far East, in both Korea and Japan, the various Chinese languages spoken during the Dynasties that were in power have the same significance and influence upon those two countries as Latin had on Western Europe.

i dont really want the name of the previous chancellor
i want just a name

and i still need the name of the station from the fightspace mod

<edit> so for the vice president..i should just have president
so like this?
President : Vice President
Chancellor : President
right?

@freighter: you have your interests, I have my interests. lets just stick to that, ok?
