Alright! First snow of the season!

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Alright! First snow of the season!

I'm about as giddy as a schoolboy.

We've had snow, but it hasn't lasted more then a day. We usualy don't get a real snow fall till just before christmas.

lol, we had first snow in early Oktober

Just a few weeks before it was 20+ degrees. Everyone turned sick instantly

we'll be lucky to get any until february! I don't know why, but always seems to feb when we get heavily snowed on...

Post Fri Dec 05, 2003 4:35 pm

so, grom, u need a little waiting for that then

Post Fri Dec 05, 2003 5:00 pm

yeah unfortunately must be something to do with global warming, cos I could have sworn we had white christmas' when I was a kid..but hey, I have a theory on how to sort this out...

(uh oh)

<gromit's confused theories #8715302.3>

all we have to do is an extra day of the week for 10 months!! (??!) yep you heard me, no-one likes mondays anyway, so add an extra days holiday to reduce the pain...saturday, sunday, gromitday, monday, tuesday, wednesday...etc... Why?! well work it out - if you add an extra day for 10 months you gain approximately 43/44 days, lengthening each month and bringing the seasons back into sync - so what was february is now december! Great! White christmas' all round and everyone gets a an extra days holiday a week for 10 months! Fantastic! Call me El Gromito and vote me for president.

@Gromit, yeah, but then we'd get white Halloween (Oct 31) and bitter cold Christmas. Right now the coldest time of the year here is usually February. Which I never really understood as Spring comes not to long afterward.

Gromitday? Oh man, you're not confused, you're insane

ok, I get your point but then eventually you would end up havign white summers, because the years are longer the snow falls earlier. Then again, we would be in perfect synch with the Aussies, for what it's worth

grom, u didn't say President of where exactly?

ah snow snow and white Christmases, we had plenty when i were a lad, then they sort of petered out in the mid 70s to be replaced by sludge Christmases, then just grey rainy wet ones. haven't seen a proper white Christmas since 91 when we had a solid hammering of snow and everyone got stuck (yay no relatives!)

well think of it this way, we get a bitter cold christmas anyway...and at least if halloween was white, we wouldn't be able to see all the ghosts in their white sheets

Have a good weekend gents

@ grom, it snowed so much then that ashford got cut off, and the marines had to bring in all the supplies the town needed, and the only clear landing spot was the field next to my playgroup at the time.

I can guarantee that if everywhere else in this bloody country gets snowed in, we get rained out.

@ ff,

Come to Canada, play in snow!

my parents lived there for a while, and they bore me with tales of what it was like, so why not, as long as there are some decent studios out there
