call of duty

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

ff it's largely lifted from Enemy at the Gates anyway, just like MoH:AA was themed on Saving Private Ryan.

(having said that the distinction between games and films is breaking down big style now as sfx get better and 'puters get more powerful)

Zjees ff, another film? You'll be a busy filmmaker then

I bought Call of Duty just a couple of days ago (together with Need for Speed Underground) and I have to say it's an excellent game. I find it to be better than MOH: AA Turning it into a movie is just plain stupid, because Taw is right that it wouldn't be more than a combination of Saving Private Ryan and Enemy at the Gates.

Btw, did you guys see the official website ? It's a great site ! www.callofduty.com

is it better than Commandos or Hidden & Dangerous, Eraser?

Post Wed Dec 03, 2003 9:26 pm

I haven't played either game, so I'm not sure.

Post Wed Dec 03, 2003 9:32 pm

it seems less buggy than h+d

Post Wed Dec 03, 2003 9:37 pm

You can't compare Taw. Call of Duty is more like MoH (shooting and running) where Commandfos and H&D aremmore tactical based games.

It's the same thing like comparing.. err.. you know!

BTW, great game (CoD), it's on my "wanted" list, and that means alot

OMFG Call of Duty is awesome.

That is all.

@ff: why are you tryign to turn all games into films. Especially when alot of them wouldnt work or are sourced from films?

I know, it's an unfair uncomparison. Only MoH:AA and RTCW are fair comparisons along with BF1942 (which i don't like) I was just making a general comment on the WW2 gaming experience.

i really can't wait to get stuck into the Russian Front. I think there's also a new WW2 game that uses the Il-2 game engine for ground combat, but I can't remember what it's going to be called looks groovy though.
