yay!

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

i gave up, the reliant kept dieing from torpedos

Gotta hate that torpedo mission.

I have to admit, Starlancer felt a lot more real than Freelancer. Don't get me wrong I loved FL but it was lacking in the immersion department.

I hated the Starlancer torpedo mission. In fact I never beat it. I'll have to try the game over again some time and see how I do this go around.

the one i got stuck on for yonks (as in months) was the mission to destroy the Coalition super carrier with those junkheap Kamov torp bombers, get back, jump into ur fighter and defend ur new carrier. that mission.. plagues me.

Post Sun Nov 23, 2003 9:20 pm

totally, especially the MASSIVE opening for that mission. ****, i'd leave it and make a brew if the flight path didnt keep changing. I s'pose it adds to the satisfaction at the end.

i want to make an add-on pack for starlancer. Time to get a job at warthog

Post Sun Nov 23, 2003 9:25 pm

the first time i tried it i kept smashing my bomber into the others, then i failed the mission. once i'd got my cr*p piloting sorted, i was too impatient and loosed off me torps too soon, failed again. well once i learnt the value of patience, i could zap the carrier every time, and get back home too, although it's a tough fight, took me a while to get the knack of docking with the Alliance carrier, but it took me months of screaming, cursing, and flying like a monster to deal with those torps coming in from different directions. it made bomb-plinking in FS2 look easy. SL is hard, it really is. Ive rammed so many torpedoes I should have horns.

I got a demo for Starlancer, it was retarded.

@Taw

get back, jump into ur fighter and defend ur new carrier. that mission.. plagues me.
That's the one I meant, I just couldn't remember the details of it. What a friggin' bugger of a mission!!!

Taw with horns? Not a bull, a satanic helpdesk gnome who takes revenge on callers.

Post Mon Nov 24, 2003 3:42 am

The one right after the one Taw is talking about has be pulling my hair out. I use the ship with cloak, so when the Ion Cannon targets me, I can avoid it. But, I keep on losing too many carrierships or whatever there called, the ones that plan the bombs.

Life: No one gets out alive.

Post Mon Nov 24, 2003 10:24 am

the Ion cannon is easy to avoid, but keeping those ships alive is a lot harder. Were they Rippers or Marine assault craft, can't remember now?

when u say torpedo mission i assume u mean the mission where the reliant has to get repaired and supplied and the coalition ships come thru a worm hole and u have to protect the reliant from the endless barrage of torpedoes, then yes...that mission is hard indeed

and howcome when they say "45th, take out those torpedoes", they are referring to u? cause if u dont do it, then ur skrewed

(it seems as if i started the starlancer fad in a new generation of gamers)

i dont have a joystick but i have a controller but those are even harder to use than the keyboard for flying games

hia fatty!

yess the last mission is definetly hard-est (bloomin Rippers)
if one posted in the starlancer forums one would never receive any replies!

Sig Gone ...

yes same as in the suggestion and feedback forum
which i think should be eliminated and we should be able to make suggestions in the off topic forum where more people go
i think bargib thinks his forums are perfect and dont need suggestions
they r not perfect but r very close
they wud be perfect if there were instant messages (exceptions in spectres case)
