New Battlestar Galactica!

Ahhh where to start on BG. On one hand I just got the box set for my birthday (mind i had to threaten divorve and disownment to get it. But i got it) So I am a really big BG fan. Yes its cheesy and yes it was dumbed down a bit but my goodness half the episodes are brilliant. On the other hand, the new BG I dunno... there are a lot of changes I dont think will work at all as battle star galactica but as say battlestar "insert spacey name here" as an alternate POV it could. I am definitely gonna tape it (Since it is full of all sorts age inappropriate material for my 2yr old) hopefully it will be good in a different way than the original

...does anyone remember the film (or was it a double episode?) were they went back in time to earth in the 1980s??! They had these flying motorbikes which I honestly thought were the dogs bits when I was a kid.

Maybe I'll give it a try, but I haven't been too keen on many space flicks lately. They're ruining my appetite for them.
