I didn't say he was a fascist i said i don't appreciate his fascism. One is a personal complaint (never appropriate imo) and one is a complaint about an action or expression. I feel that the former is really nasty and never meant to sound like that.

well then, now we're all friends again, when's FF going to let us discuss this trilogy properly, spoilers and all, in his Revolutions Spoilers thread? (that he hasn't done yet) After we discussed the Matrix a few months ago and Eraser shot my argument down in flames (but he wasn't in the 1/2 daze that his life has now become for the next 2 yrs anyway) I went out and got several books on Plato and a copy of the Republic, in which of course is the famous Allegory of the Cave which I'm told covers the same problems of existence and awareness as the Matrix (note: i am total w*nk at philosophy and read about 4 pages then gave up, my head hurt) Anyway i have several "new" ideas about the Matrix, ok someone else has prob come up with them already but at least i though of them meself!

on the subject of philosophy, I did an A-level in it (woo), which amounts to nothing as all I seem to remember is all the classes were spent at the local pub I did manage to quote a ton of Douglas Adams on my final paper though! (did you know he's a "registered philosopher"?)

Wouldn't bother with plato anyway, from what I recall most of the interesting texts in philosophy, about anything at all, came from 15th-17th century when the whole world was waking up. When I say interesting, I actually mean "f***ed up"

As far as I know, to become a "registered philosopher" you have to be recognised as a great thinker by the united Oxbridge boards. I had to write to Oxford to find out if I was allowed to quote the HitchHikers Guide in reference to the question "Is there a god?"....and they replied that it would be recognised, because Douglas Adams is a "registered philosopher"...! So there ya go, you learn something every day

i've always wished to get to grips with philosophy. it ties in so well with so many other things i'm interested in, but unfortunately i'm just not clever enough esp. the modern stuff (modern as in post-renaissance) often baffles me. i know enough to have a halfway intelligent layman's discussion, but that's about it, i wouldn't presume to debate it even semi-seriously

I finally was able to see Revolutions today and apart from some minor doubtful things, I found it to be quite good actually Great to be honest ! A visual spectacle and a worthy ending (at least certainly not the lame ending I was affraid for you know). I read most reviews about this movie and in my honest opinion they didn't do the movie one bit justice

My rating for Revolutions: 9/10 (heh he, what can I say...I just loved it )

Just saw revolutions. Nifty nifty effects, loved the dock battle, wierd ending. And not much of a plot, but ok. However, the fire alarm went off as the Hammer is aproaching Zion and we had to evacuate the theater to make things more interesting! Some j*ck*ss pulled it
