revolutions
This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

A "bigger boy" each of you two may be, but being able to critique a movie without being mindnumbingly wowed by the S/FX is a sign of being a "bigger man" who knows quality as opposed to illusion.

please dont be so arrogant to think that only people with lower intelligence liked this film, that a true fan of the matrix or of the motion picture medium would know this to be a steaming pile of cack as it makes me wanna extend my arm and smack the s**t out of people.

I have quite capable critical skills and can spot a crap movie from 100 paces. I also am proud to have an opinion. Its something i care deeply about as it sets me aside from the sheep who all seem to go along with the fact that the matrix 3 sucked. Sure you may think it does, all the power to you, i thought it rocked and was happily content with it in almost all parts and ive said where the film is lacking. On the other side of the argument i havent heard anything but vague generalizations as to why this film is sub-par, just re-itterating what ive been told by so many other vague anti-matrix reviews.
For yours and anyone elses information, i like this film not just cause i like Mechs, not just cause i find the concept of 250,000 robots battling about 50 mechs for extended periods of time exciting, or that i'm a matrix junkie, i also have personal reasons for liking this film:
- I think the visuals (not the special effects, the 'atmosphere' of many shots/scenes) were some of the best of the series. There were repeatedly awe inspiring views in the film that i would gladly keep as a desktop or have as a poster on my wall.
- I think the character of Smith is by far more intelligent than every other character in the whole film series. He's constantly amusing and has the best lines in any scene he's in. Up until his last lines in the film he still steals the show.
- I have an odd intrest in dystopia.
- I think cyberpunk is one of my all time favorite sci-fi subgenres and adore the work or William Gibson and Mamoru Oshii, hoping one day to create my own homage to my insprations as the Wachowski's have done.
Please dont paint everyone with the same brush. Not everyone who likes the matrix is brainless or unable to form worthwhile opinions of films. Some people just like a bit of robo/mech action from time to time. Ok so thats not you but dont make the assumption that just because you dont, everyone else is easy led fools that are wowwed by effects and would rate any film with nice graphics a hit. for the record i detest hollywoods over compensation on cgi, Star Wars being a prime example.
"it has to start somewhere, it has to start sometime, what better place than here, what better time than now"
