B-List Friends

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

B-List Friends

Is it just me, or is it insulting when someone tells you your a B-list friend?

BTW, a B-List Friend is like on sports. A-List Team is the best, and the B-List Team is the Reserves.

of course its insulting

"What? Another girl! Tell me my boy. *whispers* what have you been doing?" - Tobias

Yeah, that's extremely insulting.

"None of the people I would normally talk to are here, so how are you doing?"

I would instantly get mad, and probably say something like

"Screw you, ****! I don't appreciate being a back up friend! Pishh!"

It's only insulting if you think of yourself as A-list.

Do you think of him/her as your A-list? if so, then it is insulting. Just degrade him/her to your b-list as well. It has to go both ways.

Post Wed Oct 29, 2003 1:03 pm

Is it me or is this whole A-list/B-list thing insulting anyway??!!

If someone told me that I was an "A-list" friend I'd be just as insulted....I think anyone who makes these sorts of comparisons are too shallow for me to call a friend in the first place.

A friend is a friend....friends don't make these sorts of comparisons....you should value your friends equally, no matter how often you see or speak to them...

@RILMS I feel sorry for you, because being told something like that by your supposed best friend must have been gutting....but...!...tell her to go feck herself and find someone who will appreciate you for who you are.

i would say that calling someone blist friend was not only insulting but was MEANT TO BE insulting

It is very insulting, it's like saying that your backup (ie, if one friend cancles coming out, then your "friend" calls ans asks you to come out instead, but without saying about the other friend)

"A TopGun through and through"

@RILMS, is this friend of yours the one "with benefits" or is that another?

As for the whole A-List, B-List thing, I have never heard that before being used with individual people.

Steel said,

LOL

@ Spectre,

No, this is another friend. Incedently, she is also an ex of mine. A friend, but sadly, no benefits.

@ All,

I've been a b-list friend before, I'm sure everyone has. But it was said with out being told. In other worlds, you could tell by the way you acted with each other. It just wasn't said. She's the first to accually tell me to my face, thats the insulting part. And oddly enough, the majority of my friends here don't think it's a big deal.
