The Full & Complete Text of "Zlothello"

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Looks good. Drop me a line about your next work, I'd like to get involved

@Sir Spectre - I was on my way to saying that you weren't in the play bill. "Where did you come from anyway" wasin reference to the play

Well, Fang, were you at all involved with the Microsoft cease and desist letter to Starfyre Studios? Because that will probably be my next one. If so, you would most likely be in it.

I want the honest truth, because I do my research thoroughly for my plays.

my apologies for not posting earlier, I've been off work the last few days with the flu. TLR was my first point of call when I arrived in this morning, were I discovered this fantastic piece of work.

@sir spectre congratulations on this fine piece of literature, it truly is a well-structured, engaging and hilarious script. I feel honoured to be a part of it. The need to thank you for the kindness you showed my character, is only outweighed by how impressed I was to see that you managed not only to slip penguins and trousers into the script, but also very slyly, cheese.

Thanks again for such great amusement.

Gromit, that is one of the best and thoughtful comments I have received so far. Thank you.

... kindness you showed my character,

I'm pleased you consider it kindness.

I'm good at slipping other things in too ................. you know, metaphors and such.

As I forgot to give you any feedback on the story (for which I´m sorry), I hereby want to commend you on yet another great story, especially because I have a rather large role in it Excellent job and great read !

Eraser, I am glad you liked it. And that I was able to give you a bigger part. Thanks for agreeing to be in it.

I don't really look for feedback just to get credit, although it is great, I wanted to make sure the people who wanted to be in it had a chance to read it. I still don't think Uba knows about it, because he never posted in Off-Topic and there doesn't seem to be much of anybody left in General Editing.

No, unfortunately, I was not. However, now that I'm back, you should be able to see me rant in the forums, destroy my image on IRC, and do otherwise strange things

@sir spectre considering that you married me to a bloke and killed me in the final scene, you were pretty kind Quite seriously though, the way you wrote it inspired empathy for the characters....which is a task in itself, and made the whole piece a great deal more compelling. Well done, I look forward to your next script.

just re-read the play, great job

@Fang, I will look forward to your strange lunacy on the forums. I don't IRC so I won't see you there.

@Gromit, your responses are always a great delight to me. You're a thoughtful person, moreso than even my first research led me to believe. You indeed were deserving of the lead role! BTW, has your real wife seen this play? Or would that give her more cause to deny you your computer time for games and chats?

@Freighter Fighter, I'm happy to know my play has re-reading enjoyment. Just out of curiosity, what did you think of my interpretation of your name, "Freighterick?"

@sir spectre awww shucks, ya flatter me I'm not married yet, I've been with my gf for 10 years now and we're getting married next summer...I think I will show her the script though, she'll probably love it. There is however an additional level of humour in your writing that only the people on TLR will understand, from knowing each other's personalities, but I think she'll still enjoy it. I'm sure it would be interesting for you to know how people outside of TLR enjoy it? Has anyone tried that yet?

Post Thu Oct 16, 2003 11:56 pm

No one other than TLR posters have read my plays as far as I know. Let me know how she likes it.

BTW, what took you so long to get hitched, if you've been together for a decade?

I'm going to print it out and take it home with me tonight...I'll let you know how she liked it on monday.

We were together at uni for 2 years but then she moved 200 miles south because of a job and I was off touring with rock bands around europe, so we did the long distance thing for quite a few years on and off - I moved in with her nearly 3 years ago now, and last christmas when I realised that for some unkown reason she does actually put up with living with me, I decided to pop the question before she comes to her senses!
