Kevin Smith

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

@Taw I've only ever seen Boogie Nights by Anderson, which I didn't like (but I think that was because of Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch), but I think I'll have to check out Magnolia now you've recommended it so highly.

@Arcon - I think RILMS was referring to Jersey Girl - the next work by Kevin Smith, rather than the next Jay & Silent Bob (which won't be happening).

@BlazeMe - did you even read the first post of this thread??!! If you are still confused and you are genuinely interested check him out

@RILMS - I haven't seen the cartoon yet....is it any good in comparison to the movie?

u won't b disappointed, grom, it's muchness better than Boogie Nights. it reminds me of Peter Greenaway @ his peak but without the pretentiousness.

I wasn't a huge fan of Clerks but Mall Rats and Chasing Amy rocked. Dogma wasn't bad, not quite as good but not bad. Im yet to see Jay and Silent Bob, I heard it was really average so I never got around to it.

yeah, but jersy girl is just some big old pile-o-****e couple movie cause afleck wants to do films with lopez (who could be one of the worst actresses ever).
its a whole new direction for him, it has NOTHING to do with the other films ok? like DareDevil or something, this movie is so UNRELATED its not even funny (although it is a comedy, thats not what i meant)

Dont go see Jersey Girl expecting the same stuff as before (although from what ive read it might be in the same ilk as Chasing Amy.

I wish to god Smith would stop making films with Afleck though, i just dont think he's a good actor AT ALL

@ Gromit,

The cartoon is great. The first one starts off saying they found the lost first ep of Clerks. And then they say, "Last time on Clerks" and it's the first ep! It's crazy!

@rilms I've gotta check that out, I'm gonna have to hunt the dvd down on play.com

@arcon you've seen jersey girl then? I didn't know it was out yet! fair shout about affleck, he's a total p*****....but don't knock smith's writing, chasing amy was a stroke of genius and could never be even remotely compared to a lopez movie.

Matt Damon on the other hand I have total respect for. The only movie I hated him in was "the talented mr ripley", which I thought was complete cack and put me off for a while. But he impressed me in good will hunting, chasing amy, ocean's eleven (now there's a cool film) and the uba-groovy Bourne Identity. Its a shame he's always associated with the affleck-tion.
