Auditions for my next play, "Zlothello" -- Update
This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.
@Wolf, which forum do you mean specifically? I think you mean the Starfyre one. Which I have checked out prior to your post, but a story didn't leap out at me. I was just pissed I didn't get a chance to download TNG 1.6. I had to settle for 1.56. I'll look again. Maybe there be something there.

I read your post and it has the makings of a story in it, but Sir Spectre is as is clearly ascertainable is entangled in this story.
Perhaps....
Raynen: O Bargib! Help us! You're our only hope!
Bargib: 'Tis not the duty of the chief to meddle in the affairs of legitimate lords.
Raynen: But they strip us bare of our possessions! 'Tis a bane on this town of LancersReactor to have us be rid!
Bargib: I can only act in the bounds of the law, and 'tis you who hath violated the law of copyright.
Raynen: Thou cannot leave us left for dead to the lords of the land of Microsoft!
Bargib: I wash my hands of this debacle.
I strongly state that this is not what is happening. 'Tis but fiction in the winds of writ.
Zounds! I remain in Olde English mode! I canst remove myself from this imprisonment!

@Jim, that's a good start. (BTW, is that first line with Reynan an alteration of Leia's in Star Wars Ep IV?) Anyway, if you want to, you should write it. My problem, having looked again, is that there be too much material to choose from. One would be diluted with options, trying to hone it into a comprehensible story may be difficult.
As for me writing something from it, I wasn't present from the beginning, as I had been with Uba & Hey. Second, there are too many circuses and much hositility in the forum. I could write a great tragedy tale for it, but finding the humour would be difficult. The anger with Uba & Hey was campy and fun, with this its serious and hostile. I'm having a hard enough time turning The Tragedy of Othello into a comedy. I don't have the time, nor the patience to deal with the Starfyre debacle.
Besides, my mother, several years ago had to negotiate a contract with Bill Gates' father, because he is an attorney. His father is one astute gent, I would probably stake that Mr. Gates did control the entire behaviour of the legal department including the position of MS to get involved with Starfyre. Mr Gates was smart enough to involve himself with the original contract with IBM over the coding of DOS. It was Bill Gates' father that allowed MS to be what it is today. Bill Gates just did the leg work, his father never let the control of DOS escape from his son.
The point is, there is no good end to this story. There is no way to win, once MS digs its heals in, it never lets up. It just screams tragedy. Though, tragedies sometimes make the better stories.
@RILMS, I would love to get it. I haven't tried any of the TNGs yet.

Warlord Bob, I have updated your character's title. As I have been writing, your part expanded a bit. Thought that may make you happy.
I say this now, for two reasons. One I said I would in a previous post. Two to get back on the topic of this thread. I don't want it closed, this so far is the longest thread I've ever started.
As a second note, I'd say I'm about one-third done. It isn't as easy as I thought it would be to change a tragedy into a comedy.
For those of you Windows people here's a progress meter:

Thanks, Spectre, but I really had no intention of writing about the starfyre thing anyway. There's an update made by Bargib about the e-mail M$ sent, and he thinks it might be a fraud, but this really isn't the place to discuss it.
Raynen: We few, we happy few, we band of brothers.
Giskard: Hear hear!!
IG89: TO ARMS!!
Raynen: Let it be that ne'er more happy men left the land of Microsoft unscathed.
Everyone: RAHHHH!!!
I wouldn't want to deal with M$, like your mother did. Yeeeeeesh.
Anyways, good progress on the play. When did you start it? (and how long will it be? We need a judge of progress.)
Now time to watch the bar move across.
