This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

This is going to be my car It doesn´t really look like a sportscar and really looks just like a regular Audi, but....

RS 6 Engine:

Layout: Longitudinal-mounted front engine
Configuration: V
Cylinders: 8
Displacement (cc): 4200
Bhp@RPM: 450 @ 6500
Torque (lb.-ft.)@RPM: 415 @ 1950-5600
Valve Gear: DOHC 40V (variable intake/exhaust timing)
Boost: Twin turbo
Fuel System: Multiport fuel injection

quattro permanent four-wheel drive and a version of the tiptronic five-speed automatic transmission that has been specially refined for the RS 6 convert the V8 biturbo's high torque into propulsive power with impressive efficiency and directional stability. The Audi RS 6 sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 4.9 seconds, and hits the 200 km/h mark after 18 seconds. The top speed is governed smoothly at 250 km/h by electronic means.

Which car is pretty much the fastest in the world ? (except things like the Thrust SSC and such) It´s not the McLaren F1, it´s not the Ford GT 90, no....it´s the Bugatti EB 16/4 Veyron

The Bugatti will have a top speed of 406 kilometres per hour (252.3 mph) and accelerate to 300 km/h in under 14 seconds. Specs: W16 engine, displacement: 7.993 liter / 487.8 cu in, 4 turbos, power: 1001 bhp / 746.7 kW @ 6000 rpm, torque: 1250 Nm / 922.0 ft lbs @ 2200-5500 rpm. It will be launched somewhere in 2003.

The Dutch also make sportscars: Spyker and Donkervoort

Lotus was purchased by Proton, the car brand of clone Mitsubishi in Malaysia, some year ago when they were at the verge of bankcrupt.

Yup, we do have lots of Elise running around here because it was pretty cheap when it came out.

now all we have is some Lotus tuned Proton cars...

The Elise, is a 850kg car with over 200bhp on the wheels. Most sports cars are almost twice it's weight with about the same power. On 0 to 100kph, not many car can chase down this thing..

I didn't know that a Lotus was that cheap. £13,000 is only about U$21,000. The tariffs and other costs would probably jack the price up a bit though.

Now the Aston Martin Vanquish is a bit up there on the cost scale and is pretty much the bomb. I wonder how reliable they are though. I knew a guy that had a different model Aston Martin and he rarely drives it, but he has already broke down in it 3 times. He felt like he needed a tow truck to follow him when ever he drove it.

@Eraser: I also like the Veyron, but I'd like to play with its engine... (tuning the engine). It has an enormous potential, I even think it could reach 2000+ hp...
Just look at Toyota GT One, It has a 3.5 liter DOHC V8 with Twin Turbo (2 liters each)and twin Intercooler, some fancy exaust, and it reaches 975 hp on max boost... Just imagine what could a W16 8 liter DOHC quad Turbo ahcieve with some fine tuning *drools* It could probably break the land speed record for non-jet cars...

The vanquish' look like they are rock solid in build quality. If I had my choice of car that'd be it.

Im not much of a fan of the new bugatti or the EB110 for that matter. They always seemed so obsessed with top end power and will do anything to get it, I mean a quad turbo 8 litre engine has got to have some serious turbo lag problems. Thier old quad v12 (according to those who drove it) was a shocker in the drivability department.

The old bugs were beautiful but this new bunch just seem clinical.

What's so great about a car that does 1000hp+ when you can't even decently maintain one?

you only need like 5 hp to park the car.

and you need about 15hp to maintain 100 kmph

what you really need is a zippy 0 to 100, and a car that sticks to the road like a leech.

that's what lotus elise is all about..

You're right. I guess some men feel the need to "compensate"

I love Lamboghinis.

forgive the intrusion of the idiot.. i think your talking about lamboringhis..then again, my sp could be wrong as well..
besides, the car specs? i know them just about as much as i know when i'm gonna die. but i wouldn't say no to an F/A superhornet.. i heard they're selling it in england or such for few thousand grand..now NOTHING will chase down a superhornet with a good pilot(like me ) inside.

an SR-71 Blackbird would.

Post Tue Aug 12, 2003 10:23 am

people who had never own a car

will dream of one with 5 million hp thrown in the bonnet

people who own car

will dream of one that had just the right power, just the right kick, just the right handling, just the right ease of driving

and they want it to run on water..

a black bird has a turning radius of about 200 mile.
a superhornet would not be allowed to fly faster than about 500kmph, because sonic boom can cause some property damage on the ground.

the fuel for the hornet is expensive.
the fuel for sr71 is not that easily obtainable.

you will need a crew of over 15 specialist to take care an sr71

not to mention a very long airstrip. (there's only one airstrip in Malaysia that can take a sr 71)

I love the Aston Martin Vanquish. The thing looks mean just sitting there like going to eat you.
