Joysticks

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Joysticks

Now wait a moment moderators, before locking this, this is NOT about joysticks in FL, and I could honestly care less about that, this has nothing to do with joysticks and Freelancer.

I was only wondering what joysticks everyone has, that they use in other, NON-FL games, I myself use a Wingman Attack 2 (yeah, I know it's cheap) for flying sims and such.

NOTE: please do not lock this, as it has nothing to do with Freelancer, I just thought it might be enjoyable to hear what joysticks other people use, and yeah, I'll probably get flamed for this, but oh well, I thought it was a good idea at the moment.

A very good post, and more than I was expecting from a thread marked "joysticks"

/unloads the flame thrower that was on standby...

However, if thi shas nothing to do with Freelancer, why is it in the Freelancer forum and not the Off Topic forum?

/re-arms flame thrower.

Logitech Wingman Warrior (when it works)

But seeing i dont play FPS's any more, i dont really use it.

Just my $0.02, but it could just be the cardamine talking.

I have a Logitech Freedom 2.4 cordless, which I bought to use with Battlecruiser, a game I sorely, sorely regret buying. Derek Smart is a psychopath, nuff said. At any rate, I figured that my next game purchase after that would be Freelancer, so I used that to justify blowing a hundred bucks on this new toy........... imagine my slack-jawed, total surprise to find that a flight simulator doesn't support the use of a joystick! Oh, well.... the mouse works passably for ship operation, which is good enough. I like the game. Personally, I think the addition of joystick support would definately be an improvement, but I'll still play it even if they don't fix that.

LethalLarry;

You talking Battlecruiser 3000AD or Battlecruiser Millenium??
If its BC3K your talking about, then a proper working version (completely rewritten by Derek Smart, without interferance from publishers) is available for free on the net.

Just my $0.02, but it could just be the cardamine talking.

I use the MS Force Feedback II with the flight sims, it's expensive, but worth it if you want realism.

I use a Saitek X45 HOTAS and Thrustmaster Elite rudder pedals.

I hate joysticks. Useless IMO.

I've had both of those versions of Battlecruiser you mentioned... well, this latest one was Battlecruiser Millennium Gold. I had some questions to ask on the forum there, which Derek Smart apparent spends about 20-22 hours a day on. He's a nazi to anyone who doesn't have a worshipful attitude to him. His behavior caused me to dislike him; I told him so; he banned me. He's a sociopath.

I think that locking and deleting posts not liked by the moderators smacks of communism. I have some thoughts on joysticks in FL but it seems the czars of this site will not let me express them. Too bad. And I thought that is WAS a good site.

Uhm, fascism censures. Communism (pure, theoretical communism, at least) celebrates the rights of the working class.

And believe me, I find it hard to believe that there's anything left unsaid about joystick-in-FL topic.

Westline264: I don't think theres anything wrong with talking about them, just don't ask "How do you get them working in FL?" Cos you can't. Ever,
