Joysticks

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

You COULD map the joystick to the mouse and/or the keyboard, but i have heard that it sucks.

MS Sidewinder Precision 2. Pricey, but worth it. Too bad the only flying I do is in BF1942. I really should reinstall my X-Wing games.

Joystick sucks..

I use a PS2 rumble pad for my pc.

Now looking for Xbox rumble pad for PC..

definitely more fun controlling things with your thumb and fingers than trying to bend your wrist the way it's not suppose to..

Hello, I can tell that I have several joysticks, a good collection
of them and here is my list: CH Fighterstick USB, CH Pro Throttle USB(wich I
use with Freelancer using the left hand and the mouse with the right hand), Logitech Freedom
2.4, Sidewinder Precision Pro and Sidewinder Feedback Force.

lol Arcon!

MS are stopping/have stopped manufacture of the Sidewinder joysticks due to falling sales. So i suggest anyone who wants one to get one now as the stores will clear them out by Christmas, i got mine at ToysRUs reduced from £59 to £39 and its very very good. Having said that however the only games I've used it on were the last couple of missions in SL, a few standalones from FS2 and the helicopter bits in Flashpoint.

My personal favourite joystick-using game was Mil-24 Hind by DI, visually dire but the flight dynamics were superb. Even now I like a nice chug around Afghanistan shooting up mujah and FAE some villages. Even better milti-player if you can get another crewman for your copter, I like being the gunner while someone else flies then i can just concentrate on terrorising civilians/civilising terrorists.
