Right, there's only that short guy that managed to conquer the entire Western European mainland, what's his name again? oh Napoleon. Was he before or after the Crusades?

After.. I saw a scar under his eye in a movie and I'm pretty sure that it's been made with a gun. I don't know about other but i'm sure that they didn't have guns in crusade.

Napolean was circa 1815. He did a fine job of building a modderate sized empire. However he suffered two defeats, against Russia (Cos the foll attacked in Winter) and then our very own Horatio Nelson blew his ass outta the water.
If I'm not mistaken he was banished.
The ENglish have three rather proud facts to there name.
1: They have had the single most powerful and the biggest empire to have ever been on this earth
2: At some point in time "the sun never set on the Union Jack" meaning that at any given time it was day time in part of teh British Empire (Another first, and unique I think)
3: Of all the countries in the world we've gone the longest without being conquered. The last was in 1066. Since then every other country has been conquered at least once, half of them probably by us.
