Matrial Arts

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Matrial Arts

The other day I got home from work, turned on the TV and realised that Enter the Dragon was on.
This is without a doubt the greatest martial arts film of all time. Watching Bruce Lee defeat everybody that stoof before him got me thinking.
Does anybody here undertaken any martial arts? For example, I've been doing Judo for 8 and a half years, Aikido for about a year, Kendo for about 9 months and recently started Win Chung . But I also have base Knowledge of Shodokan and Moderu Kartae and Tae Kwon Do . Its become a joke to my friends and has earned me the nick name 'Jet Li'.
Its one of my ambitions to one day create my own fighting stlye. But I'll keep ya posted on that one

So if anybody else does any art form or just interested, post here.

Do it or I'll unleash the Dragon on ya

I haven't done any of these but I've been practicing and perfecting the art of war
and training with swords, sticks, projectiles (not guns) and other weapons.

(P.s. I don't wish to run into you in a dark alley when you're mad)

I always wanted to do martial arts, but I have never been able to find an instructor/classes in my area. So I shoot guns instead.

My boss plays Pentak Silat. He's pretty good at it.

It's "Pentjak" (as you Dutch/Indonesian oldtimers like to spell it) of "Pencak" (both spelling pronounced "pen-chuck" according to the modern Indonesian spelling.

Last year he finished first during the Dutch Championships. This year he ended second so he's granted a place during the European Championships in Hannover Germany.

I have taken Tae Kown Do for about 3-4 years. Almost got up to a red belt, but I got out of it for some reason. I would like to go back to it some day though...

I did karate at uni and kendo after, had to stop though due to being rather ill at the moment. I will take up martial arts again as it is always fun.

Always wanted to practice Kendo. You get to wear that cool leather armor and faceplate, and beat up other people with sticks! much more satisfying with a simple bare hand, IMO. But the gears are fookin expensive compared to karate gi.

I took Kenpo, Kempo, Tea Kwon Do, and several other forms of Karate over a period of maybe 20 years. I also consider pistol shooting a marshall art, and have been doing that for... let's see... about 40 years. Never did too much with the arcane weapons like the sword or nunchucku, but they were for their times and pistols are for our time.
