I have no problem playing your mod in SP, but whenever me or my Dad set up a server for MP I get a funky error in FLServers console.

What happens is, I load the mods and copy the ships into the directories in the instructions. When I startup the server I get several errors. When I try to start a charachter my game locks up, as does the server. Since it locks up I can't see the error that really killed it. I have gone so far as setting up another hd for just freelancer. I use windows xp and the KING of all video cards, the Geforce MX420 64MB.

Dan check your email mate

One think im determined to fix is the docking problem. So far everybody has been working on how to make big ships dock with existing stations. Well im now thinking about ships docking with other ships or new stations.

I'll let know how i get on and make the models availabe if I make any. However because of the lack of any tools to make new sur files, there is likelt to be clicking (lob issues) with any new station.

Good work on this mod! It's great. I have 1 little problem in SP. In the first mission. After saving the prison ship I have to save a Liberty fighter Beta 4. But he dies in 30 seconds! Please help me. It's not because I can't fight. I kill 1 and a half pirates in this 30 seconds. I think nobody can kill about 8 ships in 30 seconds. Especially not at level 1.

Michael,

I posted a question re Crashes last night (Aussie time) re rebalance 10b. So I restarted at the beginning with the Starbucket (with the no story Mod enabled). All fine for the first few missions, Saved my pennies and headed off to New London to buy a legionnaire, game crashed a couple of time on the way there, since I have time to play with settings, I looked again at comments made here and did several things
1. Copied the Porsche’s ships folder to the rebalance mod as per instructions on page one.
2. Set 3d settings to best quality, and increased memory allocation to display, plus set read ahead frames to 6 from 3 (default).
3. Defragged the drive.
4. Deleted saved games and autosave (left the 'new' ones)
5. Ran the batch file for 2nd difficulty level (suggested default)

Game loads/starts ok but when I set a course or sometimes try to leave a base - Crashhhh. Delete Autosave ok for a while, fighting Molly's in London, computer reset. Bloody frustrating.
Had no problems with 06c and love the mod would like to play it without the story because after the first 1/2 dozen times story line gets boring. Computer is new 2 GHz Celeron with 640 Meg ram and 64 Meg DDR mx 440.

Can anyone solve the problem????

Am I the only one who LIKES the fact that big ships can't dock at star bases or battleships, but only at planets? I think it adds a nice touch and some character to these ships. In multiplayer it actually adds to the need to seek out team mates. If I want to run my favorite, most lucrative trade routes, I need other players in smaller ships to ferry supplies from the star base to my ship - for a fee, of course. Also, given the power of these ships, I think it's a nice balance tool.

Well, logically and realistically, big ships like White Cruiser ain't supposed to end up in the smallest bases of the game, or in Multiplayer.

Well, I'm already working on a new version with the new ships like the Sith Infiltrator and the Thunderbolt form Griskard's Hostile Universe(i LOVE both of them, but the Thunderbolt the most), and some new versions of Starfury and Starviper.
Harrier, about those crashes, try to install v1.1b it has some crashy jumpholes worked out and removed, and its also full having all the ships installed right.
Ether Dragon and GameShark, indeed this is more realistic than having Battleships dock inside other Battleships or bases half their size....
ulysses, switch to level 1 of difficulty(run level1.bat in FL directory), it has less collision damage and if that is not working edit constants.ini file in \FL\DATA and change the COLLISION_DAMAGE_FACTOR=2 to COLLISION_DAMAGE_FACTOR=0.2 or 0.1 to return it to normal value. i'm gonna add more armor to that blasted BETA 4 so he would'nt die so easily!!

Got a quick question.......I just downloaded your newest version (btw you rmod rocks!!!) can I use my saved games from the older version, or do I have to start over? Thanks for the great mod

MD, I have seen several posts about some of the ships having weird stuff mounted on purchase that if it is unmounted, crashes the game. I haven't checked your files, but I was messing around with adding hard points and such, i used an hprunninglight mount as a turret. When i did this one of those things showed up on the mount. I think this is a running light showing up because its part of the initial package in goods.ini. I believe removing the reference to that hardpoint in goods.ini will make the weird no name thing go away. Of course, this would be a huge pain in the butt given the size of your mod, but if you want to stop one line of questions, it might be worth looking into.

I love the 6/2/1 (G/T/Missile) Dagger. But I have one problem, I went to Planet Houstan to buy the Phoenix, it looked to cool and tempting!! I bought it, and when I undocked, it crashed during the loading screen on the way out of the planet.

Can someone help me with this?

Just wanted to put a plug in for many of you.

Michael and I are working together on a new mod that will combine all the latest mods into one.

It will be using the original freelancer engine so all of you that love the original game with just love this!

So far we've got all the babylon 5 ships, all the starwars ships, battlehips, cruisers, gunboats, trains, and many others! 200 new weapons, 30 new shields, etc...ALOT is going in this!

So far we are making great progress. I am keeping an eye out for problems on this forum so that I make sure we don't get them in the new one.

So just wanted to point out that if it seems mich and I aren't updating our mods it is because we are working on the other, but believe me the bugs will be fixed We thank you for your patience ahead of time.

GREAT GOOGLY MOOGLY!!! That's so gonna be cool!

Anyway....general strangeness... v1.1

- A Jedi Fighter with 4 liberty cruiser turrets mounted. It looks really cool, but really extremely strange.

- Taking a mission from the Lane Hackers on Mactan Base to destroy a Bounty Hunter battleship. Noticed in Job description text, a reference to "Destroying this base...". Also, missions objectives stated to destroy the enemy installation in target sector. Strange....

- Is it just me or are the later missions sort of easier with the boosted cruise engines and good weapons that are equipable on the lower level fighers? i.e a nomad laser or two by the time you reach new london...(Note: I took a trip to Gammu so....It's partially my fault.

- The XWing and the Starfury are still flying soap bars. My AGP card settings are as follows. Anybody who has those models working can compare and maybe a temporary solution can be found until those new models come out.

Rey, I'm waiting for u to send those files to me. in the meantime i'm gonna remake the CMP file so they all have the new weapons within, no more running lights.
Drassnia, maybe is because your card lacks the hardware Transform&Lightning that u can't see those textures. Try upgrading to at least a Geforce 2 MX 400, or even a Geforce 4 MX 420/440, there is not such a big difference in prices(all go about 45-70$). Anyway next version will include ramked versions of Starfury and Starviper models, with no textures problems.
And if u think those missions are easy try them at level3 of difficulty. Also go against Corsairs in Dublin System, or even go after one of their Bretonia Battleships. U'll se what I mean, those BattleShips kick ass and can kill u in a few well aimed hits. U'll also have a surprise when fleeing from Bretonia...the RH cruiser I mean. And that Rheinland Fleet in the Tau-39 system(I think)
Bulk Hauler, that is true, those runninglights were added to shiparch.ini, since I could not ship the cmp files that was the only way to add new weapons...just don't try to unmount them , sell them and it will clear the hardpoint for using.
Gameshark, dunno why is crashing for u, the Phoenix has no glitches.
