I'm having a devil of a time running a private frontierspace server.

When i connect to it from my other computer the server crashes.

I followed the installation instructions, any idea what i'm doing wrong ?

So FLMM doesn't remove server files I guess.

This problem was because I had run a discovery server, so it was trying to load the saved discovery data or something. anyway fixed.

When I try to run the server with IONCROSS I get a subscript out of range error and IONCROSS does not run but the server does.
We have downloaded all the patches and SDK and it is still failing.

Can you help?

did you change the version number so iron cross can recognize it try tis go into c program file iron cross server and server confiuration and make the number compatible with the version of the mod.

I have changed the version number and it didn't work.

I have been advised that the reason we cannot run flshell is because we are using a dualcore cpu but we have got all other aspects of the mod working. We have come across another issue though.
I am not sure if this is because we have not shell installed but when our players try to buy any of the none standard commodities they get kicked by IFSO as cheats. Also the info cards you get at startup cannot be sold as it also kicks you as a cheat.

Any ideas anyone?

Sorry, i've been away for a bit. I think this has been resolved on the FS forum, but i'll post here anyway.
The crashes and kicking seems dual-core related.
The subscript 9 out of range error is due to the IFSO datafiles, if you download the updated version (on page 1), you will fix this problem.

I'll try and keep more of an eye on this thread in the future.

Great mod, but what in the name of the Big Guy do I have to do to earn access to Planet Madison? How many Imperials do I have to whack?

Oh, to get access to Madison, you need to complete the hidden quest in the mod.
It starts at the trading post in Aymifa at the Van Maanens Star Jumpgate..

Mace, you da man!
I played the hidden storyline and made it to Planet Madison...barely. But my trusty Sabre Courier survived the voyage, and I traded it for an Asuran Ion Corvette. I'm not going to comment on the quest,; let other Freelancers have some fun.
