My first MOD was the Crossfire MOD. I was looking at combining several MODs to make a very interesting single-player MOD. I found your v1.74 ro be well thought out and with lots of difficult missions and decisions. The Ravenclaw series ship looks awesome with some old big guns loaded. The alien power suppies are good for the old guns with big power drains.

I've been enjoying v1.74 for a while and decided to upgrade to v1.75.

I prefer single player since I do not have lots of time to play everyday.

Thanks for a great MOD. Have you thought about adding several big MODs together for a super MOD? There are so many talented MODDERs our there, that playing just one of them is unfair. A SuperMOD would be worth paying for or at least a nice donation for the effort.

Thanks for your comments Franco, ou'll find that FS 1.75 is quite a bit harder to get established in the game unless you do trading which is much more profitable than before.

Regarding maiking a supermod, i have to admit i haven't played the crossfire mod, but i have heard it has a number of great features and obviously a lot of people have been playing it. I'm pretty sure that SWAT has his own plans for Crossfire as i have for FS and to join them together would be quite a job.

FlybyU has emailed me regarding a community mod and once i have gone through some FS updates i might consider working on it. I don't have a lot of time to mod anymore and i have been doing this for 3 years so i don't have the same level of interest as before. SO, it might happen, but it will be with lots of modders, not jst myself and SWAT working together.

yep i also was asked by fly but had to decline for the moment because next to crossfire i work on 2 other big mods and a completly new game (spaceshooter)

Hello there,
i´ve downloaded the mod, but i can´t play because it say´s "please insert the original disc" - but it alreay IS. So what should i do?

Try downloading this exe and using this instead:

English EXE version 1.75
File: Download
To install, extract and copy into:
..\Freelancer\EXE

German EXE version 1.75
File: Download
To install, extract and copy into:
..\Freelancer\EXE

I wouldn't bother de-activating. Just copy the file into the mod folder and the game folder (you may need to turn off read only).

If that dosen't work let me know and i'll try something else. There seems to be quite a few different versions of FL around and each of them seems to need different exe versions.

I tried that the english no cd exe solution and the game kept crashing

I wanted to play your mod -- I love the way you've redisgned the map and the gunships and other inovations

Hoping you get this up and running

Ok, so what have you tried so far?
Things you can do is ensure a fresh install of FL, add the sdk ( i have tested with v1.3) and activate with FLMM.

Another one to try is to delete the autosave and restart.fl in the:
\My Documents\My Games\Freelancer\Accts\SinglePlayer
.. folder

Failing that, if you send me a copy of your original exe, i can edit it to be the right version number.

I just went back and read thru some of the posts on ver 1.74

I have the original MS disk was saving it for posterity and emergency's -- just picked up 2 ubi disks for home internal use with kids -- if i do a clean install with the original disk will that solve my problems ??

I have been wiping files re-editing and installing your no cd exe and it still crashed -- downgraded mod manager to 1.3 form 1.4 -- reinstalled freelancer -- reinstalled mod -- screamed and cussed machine yada yada -- various standard tricks to get a mod up and running

It works! Thanks!

@Mr Ed, so at what point does it crash?
Have you installed the SDK before activating?
If you have the original disc then i would recommend giving it a go. You should be able to use the no-cd english version, but if you do, make sure you use the newer version. The original ones in the pack had the wrong version number.

Make sure you get rid of the autosave and restart file from the saved games folder.

Hopefully this will help.

it crashes right after i dock at merlin -- been starting as a zoner -- i deleted both the auto and the restart and have gotten as far as eleanor base -- will keep you posted -- looks good so far

i love the gunship concept -- it is the original pirate concept -- capture a merchant boat and install extra guns -- I always envisioned the reason the zoners were able to keep the corsairs off their back was a bunch of gunned up dromedary's or some such

regards -- and thank you for the all your hard work on the Mod and all your help

Mr Ed

Great mod---am having a lot of fun so far. Merlin is kinda funky--I always ctd if I get too close. I can get through the system if I stay at least 30k away from Merlin. Might have something to do with npc spawning. Have had a few other random ctd's at various places usually associated with npc spawning but they are random. I do have one question about cargo pods. The price you get when you sell at a planet is not the price listed on the planets info card. For instance I can sell a diamond cargo pod at new tokyo for 287k yet the info card says they should pay 1,100,000. Am I reading the info card wrong or is this a glitch?
