yeah, just a shame we cant implement the kind of story CS had... =( plus the whole no gravity thing kinda makes this mod a funky experience...

oh no, i had no problems with the gravity, it just helps with some fun aerobatic manuvres =P

Well, if we could do true gravity, we would be happy to put it into the mod

Given that we can't, I think that we do a pretty good job of faking things, and making the mod feel fairly realistic. In the next version, we're going to have some neat things, including bombs... which were removed from Beta 1, but will be back for Beta 2, now that I have a good way to implement them that makes a lot've sense.

You'll be able to do things like bomb a Base, attack ships... even try to bomb Zeppelins. Oughtta be some good clean fun

Are these large cities going to making trade ships take that much longer of a trip? The beluga run was pretty long to begin with...

Nope, actually... we've "shrunk" the world quite a bit... travel will no longer be a long and somewhat-annoying experience, and game-balance has been altered in lots of other important ways- among other things, the price of Gold has been raised, so that the Way of Violence is profitable, and not just a frill of trading

There are THREE systems now?...

That sorta takes away from the appeal of one system, but anyway.. *ahem*

I really like the new stuff you're putting in this, and it looks very good. Just one question though, are you going to fix the enemy AI becvause they were hideously overpowered in the last version...

Oh yeah about the server, it went down months ago. I'm surprised you didn't know, Argh, because it went down only a few days after it went up...

The three systems are interconnected by theme... and, as I said earlier, the world's smaller, so it still feels right. The new systems have been mainly added for SP compatibility anyhow.

The AI will be re-balanced for B2... I can promise that now. It'll still be difficult, but not quite so deadly as before- I'm going to make players feel a bit more... heroic

As for the server... yeah, it went down for a few days, then McDob got it back up... and then he switched it over to WTS. I dunno whether we'll be back up on there or not when B2 launches, but I would certainly hope so

Well i'd certainly like to have a copied directory of w.o.s flavored freelancer on my desktop but I don't play SP - get the hint?
