Today i've tried to join on to other servers (while running Frontierspace) and for some reason it wouldn't let me join. It had the name already used error.
I have deleted all previous server files that were on there. But, it wouldn't let me join. Instead, when joining the server. It had my details that I chose when installing the mod.
Has anybody else had these problems with FS?

Another bug found, but a bug of the good kind. Went to purchase the Valkyrie Superiority on the Battleship Schlesein in Holm. What did I end up with? The Spectre Prototype! Not a bad deal since my rep with Rheinland wasn't high enough to purchase the Spectre to begin with

Also, the info card for the Spectre says 6 guns and 1 turret. You actually wind up with 5 guns...3 class 9's and 2 class 10's plus the class 9 turret.

I just noticed in your fix list:


Some of the ptough values are wrong and not in order for levels above 53


I always wondered why the standard game stopped at level 38, instead of keeping going. Much more interesting to give ppl a higher target to reach.

Oh, the spectre and the wraith are very nice ships. If it wasn't for the fact that they were from the original game and tend to blow up easier i'd use them all of the time. I'll look into the bug, i thought that was were you have two ships with the same infocards sold at the same base.
I wanted to have rh spec in a proper war against someone. But, i couldn't figure out how and they are a bit to similar to the imperium.
I have moved the turret on the valkarie so that it is actually useful and added one to the wraith as well.

If I remember correctly, there are a few bases that sell different versions of the same ship....fighter version and HF or VHF. The Anubis comes to mind as well as the Valkyrie. Info cards are identical for a couple of them. Only difference would be powerplants I imagine

i am the hoster of the FUNFUNFUN Server and have a little bug with the IFSO files

there are the follow:
Unknown faction found in .fl file (id = clan_outcast_gr)
Unknown faction found in .fl file (id = fr_imp_pirate_g)
Unknown faction found in .fl file (id = clan_samurai_gr)
Unknown faction found in .fl file (id = clan_sirrogue_g)
Unknown faction found in .fl file (id = clan_corsair_gr)
Unknown faction found in .fl file (id = fr_phekda_pol_g)
Unknown faction found in .fl file (id = clan_westall_gr)

why the ending is "_gr or _g"

where can i fix it?

Yeah, i will have to go through making sure only different ships are sold at each base. Or, add unique infocard entries.
The IFSO errors are something i ran into before, but i thought they were fixed when i re-did initial_world.
Each of them have 15 characters, its possible that is the restriction with IFSO. I'll rename the factions (most of which aren't actually used anyway).
All of the clan factions, except wolf and raid are not in the game. They were an idea, that i went a different way to. They'll be renamed and turned into something useful in a later version.

There's a bunch of bases (the destru) ones that only use one room. Its ok, they are not dockable, they are generic destroy bases for different factions. They may have npcs to keep the patrols happy and they are bases to get the voice. They might have a medium_moor on their archetype, but player ships are either berths or large_moors.
So that's how they work, i like it .
I was working my through the base & room files, I hadn't even look at the universe.ini to see if they were there or not. If all of those extra rooms are caused by FLE then I'm glad I only use it for patrol paths as that's a lot of clutter for FLMM to move about.

I was on FUNFUNFUN on saturday, I left after 5 minutes as I was the only person on it and I had yellow lag the whole time I was on.

I tried logging on to FunFunFun yesterday and it wouldn't let me connect. I had deleted all of my server account stuff and when i tried to create a new character it was the details for my version not the servers version.
Is it working ok for the rest of you? Do you think that adding the pre-loading archetypes is causing problems or helping to fix them?

Yes the Server was running on Saturday on an HomeServer.

The Server changed on Sunday to an dedicatet Server and i hope there is no longer
yellowflags.

p.s The yellow are still there. it seem there are systems with lot of yellow and systems without yellowflags. I start the server without ifso and test the result

Great mod. But Mace can you tell me how can i get to Sohoa to destroy that damn prison? I am now in Vega system. I was flying for hours trying to find way. Can you help me.
BTW. I cannot jump to Epsilon Indi. Because when i do i crash to desktop...

Yes and one more thing: If this is frontierspace mod. Then there should be atleast some of the frontier ships like ASP explorer, CONSTRICTOR, BOA FREIGTER, Eagle long range figter( and i am not speaknig about that one that is from fl). Are you thinking about adding them?

yeah great mod mace
i've been playing fine on the FUN FUN FUN server for a few hours now
I haven’t got around to all the systems just yet, but from what I can see its great, a bit annoying with the illegal cargo and escape pods which took my by surprise in a system filled with police and bounty hunters... nice feature does make getting to base to sell them interesting at times

i'll try and post bugs i find...

1 small thing the CTE -6000 "Eagle Mk1" Civilian Very heavy fighter,
info stats it holds 60 sheild/nano but it holds 63
no biggy lol

Aww.. The mod was running great, no major bugs or anything, but now I am getting a crash to desktop. =/

I am trying to find out how to get into Imperial space from Federation space without flying through all of the original Freelancer universe to get to the jump holes Mace mentioned. (Ugh, so wordy)

I got to Lave, no problem. Then onto Cygnus-X. Okay, Cygnus-X was lame, took me forever to get through to Cygnus-21. From there, same story, on to Cygnus-11. Now, in Cygnus-11 I decided to screw following the GMG paths and just fly straight between the two clouds. I came out close to a Freeport base (Zoner, I would assume). Zoner bases are more interesting than gas miners, so I decided to dock there. No problem, right?

But, for whatever reason, as I came to 3K or so, Freelancer bailed to the desktop. No warnings, no errors, just a crash. Not very helpful, I know, but that is the best I can do.

While I am here, I might as well mention an aspect of Freespace that has been annoying me. In just about every system I have been in there are little black triangles with stars in the middle just hanging around. I don't remember if this is just in the new systems, or if they are present in the old ones as well. No serious problem with it, they just looks bad. Is there anything you can do to fix it?

Mace: I beg of you, give unto us mere mortals a guide of some sort! You have added such an incredible amount of stuff, it is difficult to tell where Freelancer ends and Freespace begins! Just posting a screenshot of your filled out universal map would be a huge help.

Another bug to report, Mace......

CTD using the jumpgate from Facece to 70 Ophuichi. Get about half-way through and it craps out to the desktop. Tried it five times with the same result....

Btw, the 70 Ophuichi JG is mis-identified as a jumphole in the Facece System
