Freelancer Massive Addon v2 release info and wishlist

PROJECT SUSPENDED DUE THE LACK OF FREE TIME AND NEW MODS.

Since FMA 2 doesen't differ much from 1.1, I'll wait for more mods to compile into before release.

I'm preparing FMA 2 to the release.

FMA is a compilation of many different mods made by many authors. It allows you to play all this mods in one game. All authors sharing their work to FMA became co-authors of the whole compilation. I'm only the editor/compiler here.

Estaimated release date: not near future.

Features:

Over 100 new ships by various authors, including near all FL NPC ships, gunboats, battleships to buy.

New weapons: all FL NPC weapons like train or station turrets to buy, some new ones.

About 30 new systems, including

-Story Systems(6) -Now you can visit Planet Toledo and Nomad city
-Sol System (1) -Implementation of solar system
-Orion System (1) -Rich weapons storage
-Helios System (1) -Nice place to buy Scythe fighter and porton torpedoes
-Sam's Jump System (1) -Access to Story only systems
-New Stars systems (5) -Now called New Europea
-Earth system (5) -Beautyfull implementation of out Solar system, new equipment.
-Galapagus systems (4) -Check that Battleship!
-New Australia(1) -Look for kangaroos

This will work both in MP and SP, including the story missions.

But remember, this is a compilation, not a mod by itself. As a rule, it will not change the originall game, it will only ADD new systems and new stuff there.
So please don't ask for destructable bases or battleship encounters or shortcuts from NY to Omicron's.

i like to have cloaking in the mod but you can not fire the guns while in cloak . and a another i like the new races in the balaylon 5 mod to be but in the new mod or new races of people and ships to fly around space for the computer player or ai.

For the text adventure you will have to wait for The Pinball, it will be something like that. Cloaking is a whole-universe mod and it not applies for the idea of this compilation. Sorry for that. If there is a mod which will implement cloaking locally, it may let FMA have it. To play Babylon systems and races you will have to play Babylon mod by TFK-Killermatrix. All Babylon stuff has been excluded from this FMA release.

hi i like to 1 system be star war and one to be star trak the compter or ai in thes system to dive thes ships that wood be cool. ps make ai dive more kides of ships.in the new system.

First off Tygrys I would just like to say great mod on behalf of me and everybody at my server. Everybody I have talked to including me thinks that it is the best. I played a lot of Freelancer. I had pretty much mastered the game. I needed something new, a change, new additions and your mod delivered. Rather then search for a server with this mod I decided to create my own for myself and others to play on and enjoy this mod. My server is called "Massive Addon v1.1 by Wiit" at the IP 68.184.11.40 for anybody interested in finding a server hosting this mod. The biggest thing I want to see done to the mod are bug fixes. I am going to send you an email Tygrys with a list of bugs that players and I have found in the mod. Other then that I would have to say your mod is already superb and the even more additions you plan is even better so that this mod can never get old because there will always be new things to discover. I was wondering if there was an official forum for the mod? If not I was looking to make one so that lovers of this mod could discuss bugs, ideas/wishlist, and spoilers (I just really want to know where that Slave 1 is ). Thank you again from me and everybody at my server.

Sorry for the bugs, I'm still working at FMA 1.2 path. Thanks for finding some more for me. It is VERY DIFFICULT to connect different mods and not to overlook something. FMA 2 should avoid some problems from v1.1. Philosophy of what mods to include also has been changed. Surelly you can setup a forum for this, I'm currently using LR for mod feedback. Maybe there should be a separate thread to discuss FMA 1.1, the one for FMA 2 is now here.

hi i have found some bug in v1.1 1 is in trinsun klarenten planet clansman you can not dock on the planet and 1 more bug is the low lands u can not dock on the trade lanes. 2bug i have found sow far.

I have done some programming Tygrys so I can understand how bugs can be easily overlooked and I can imagine with so many systems how it can be hard to even identify some of the bugs. An idea I thought of the mod was to build in some anti-cheat protection maybe such as LancerGaurd? Ideas for a forum for the mod official/unofficial? could be at Yahoo! or MSN if you would want one. You are making something good even better. Keep up the good work and I will keep an eye out for any bugs other players and I come across.

I would love to see the computer ai be more difficult and fly some of the new ships that would be sweet, cause i cant be online all the time to play on a server hosting the mod, but CAN however spend as much time offline as i please and besides the ai sucks :/

I made a forum for the mod. Its own. Since it deserves one. Together we can stamp out the bugs in this mod, or at least hopefully the server crashing ones. The forum is at http://groups.msn.com/FreelancerMassiveAddon

Yes, a compiler only.

But I can choose what mods to include and how to put them to the universe. So every such idea can be used to build the final FMA.
