Bob:Not quite sure if I should reveal it, if i could play online it´d cost ya good money/info(in game that is) to find out, and a signing of a contact that menas you won´t tell a soul about it or else I come blow you up in my badass Dreadnaught AND blow up your IRL mailbox two days later
but In the spirit that everyone should have a Dreadnaugt/BS to find all the bugs ok

1. Go to Battleship Mississipi and buy a hold full of toxic waste at 500 a piece
2. Take tradelane to Texas->Hudson jumpgate and go through
3.Take the tradlane to plantet Atka and from there take the tradlane to the Hudson->Hamburg jumpgate
4. Take the tradelane to the Battleship Westfalen and dock
5. Sell Toxic waste for 2000 a piece
Total profit Missisipi to Westfalen 750K for a full Freight Train

The run back you do with H-fuel buys 375 sells 607=total profit return trip 116K
Time there and back around 10-15 minutes (includes being lane hacked at least two times)

Total profit= 866K for 10-15 minutes of work, sweet ain´t it?

One word of warning though you have to be quick on your feet and packing lots of guns with an itchy trigger finger cause the route is crawling with Xenos from the Texas-Hudson Jumpgate till halfway down the tradelane to battleship Westfalen, but no guts no glory
You might also run into the odd Unioner or two but the are rare(at least compared to the dime a dozen Xenos) but all in all it is a entertaining traderoute
big cash with its fare share of risks(which only makes it all the more fun

Ahh if only you could sit in a bar ingame and talk about things like this, damn i hope the make a online game much like FL *keeps on staing at the horizon and dreaming for quite some time*

Well back to earning mega $$$ so I can try all the big ships...

Keep up the good work Reynen! *pats on back*
And one more thing, it´s not he infocards thats wrong methinks but the actual cargo hold size...unless a Bretonia gunboat should have 100 units total

Timmervargen aka Timberwolf (same name different languages)

Of course I don´t claim to be sane, sane is just another word for "boring as dirt"

hehe, nice route Reynen
Well I´m more of a pirate usually(thats how I payed for the cargo train in the first place) but I just stumbled over this route by accident
Btw how long time does the route take all in all?
and what about pirates?

//Edit
Just thougt about one thing..if you extend the route..start at Norfolk should add like 3-5 minutes total to the trip, and increase the cash by 187,5K and take the total profit up to aroun 1050K since the toxic waste is cheaper at Norfolk (375 creds cheaper) granted you would still have to sell the H-fuel at mississipi...hmm lets have a look see what can be sold from mississipi/Huston to norfolk/missouri

Zimi:

Check to see if the files overwrote properly. It sounds like the files didn't all overwrite.

Also check the readme to troubleshooting.

Ok guys, how about purchasing your Toxic Waste at Norfolk shipyard at $125 and then simply go sell it for $2500 at Dortmond Station, do the math and you'll find that blows away all the other above mentioned routes... Then you cant take Mox back to Norfolk purchased at $120 and sold at $420, and you've made a considerable amount of money for a round trip that takes very little time.

Well like i said I´m a pirate first and trader like fourth at the very best so...
but big ships cost big $$ so a little trading makes things go faster

Reyen

Yes I'm very aware of slowing my ships during combat, and I'll gladly go head to head with ya sometime ... I use my mousewheel constantly during combat, but honestly, you did go a bit too far adjusting the cornering of the heavy fighters. It's not a problem though, we'll just do some custom edits for our server Just wanted to voice the opinions of myself and my regulars.

CipheR1:

The difference between mine is that it takes about 10-15 min and yours takes 45+ minutes. I tried your route, believe me, I'm the one who designed them LOL.

Also I will see about adjusting the heavy fighter a little bit to accomodate people. I don't see any reason why you need to customize it then that is defeating the reason why I did it this way.

Spawn:

Can you cut the size of that in half? Other then that, very nice. I too hope you get skinning down cause you would make a wonderful skin maker for the mod

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's a screenshot of my new anti-matter torpedo, the most powerful torpedo now available!! You will be in awe at it's power, just don't get caught in the blast area hehehehe. Usefull for taking out bases and surrounding area. Does 4 times the amount of the sunslayer. I hit the base with 4 torpedos in this pic.

Reynen: The mining mod increases the drop rate of commodities from asteroids. It may need a bit of tweaking, but I have found tat even though every asteroid drops, with the way encounters are out there it is still a challenge to fill your hold without being shot up (to get real money you have to use a freighter, so the encounters are a bit more fun ).

Haven't had a chance to check out your code yet, but what utilities do you use to mod?

Post Tue May 20, 2003 4:44 am

Anti-Matter Torps???? Whoah!!!!!

Post Tue May 20, 2003 4:58 am

BTW, the best Trade Route I have found in the game has been there since the original. It involves two Jump Holes, one Trade Lane and is a simple back and forth to two places run. Total Profit vs Time = 1139 per unit profit every 5-6 mins. Under five if you rush like me. lol

I can't wait for Beta 6. Great work Rey.
