I got it up and running but the background is not the same as in the pic. what did i do wrong lol

Post Sun Apr 13, 2003 7:28 pm

i changed it, for now, its not gonna be the same cause the background (starsphere) that WAS there was having conflicts with the blackhole i put in,
the blackhole is not there right now, so dont go looking for it but it will be.

the conflict was that one of the sprites of the background looked like a blackhole really far away, and i guess it had conflicts with my blackhole because the little sprite's background color stopped being transparent and u got this big black square pic pasted onto your starsphere.... NOT cool, so the one there right now is temporary until i find one cool enough to suit my needs

How does one get to this system? There was no saved game file in the zip!

its near manhattan

I hate to bother you again, but could you modify the black hole script so that one can see the black hole easily right after they launch from Planet Manhattan? Maybe putting the black hole 100k south of Manhattan? I'd do it myself, but I've been incredibly busy lately .

Ideally, the core of the blackhole should not be visible as knowingly it traps any light. So maybe one could utilize darkmatter clouds (cf. Kepler) to conceal it. Also, it must not be possible to get on the backside of a blackhole, so maybe place it far far away but make it so large it is recognizable. And there should be a considerable sure-death zone extending out from it, so that no ship will ever come close enough in one piece to see it in any weird form.

I only looked at the screenshots, but does the accretion disk around the blackhole spin? In real it is, because all the matter will spin faster and faster the closer it gets to the funnel.

I need some help, Dracon, can you post a tutorial for adding stations to areas. I tried to add a station to Alaska, but it either crashed when I undocked from it, or it undocked me at the location of the original. Am I gonna have to do dll hacking?

You need to give the listing of bases for Item implantation......I.E. stuff to buy?

you should try making the base in another system, alaska is kinda screwy, cause your not supposed to go there but once.

BTW, i havent stopped working on the MOD, i have just been running into alot of bugginess, plus i have been helping my friend with yardwork/digging a hole (because im getting paid from his dad ) i should be able to put some more time into the system when i am done with the hole (its been raining here, so that has been complicating things a bit)
