Hmm, I guess it's really too early, but here's what I've done:

- Stats for all ships in Gemini, including loadout & equipment pricing
- Ship and equipment pricing
- Weapon stats
- Music

I'm currently working on:

- Acquiring models
- Sound effects
- commodoties

Though I think I might take a break and try modeling some of the Potter systems. They seem like the most interesting ones, and they aren't bogged down with things like excessive asteroid belts *cough* Fariss *cough*

Anything I should know before I start? All I've got now are maps, the coordinate mapper, Notepad, and BINI.

Bob, I can get *all* the sound effects from the game and convert them to MP3s, but that is gonna take up alot of space i reckon. Drop me a message here or at my email if you want me to do that

This is excellent...

I must say thanks to you guys for doing this. I would ask just for some changes if it's possible.

-The systems in privateer was a bit empty, I would like to suggest that after a system has been completed to add extras.

-Astroids, it was hella fun tp try and avoid astroids trying to escape enemy ships, and watching them blow-up from an astroid impact while coming after you.
The astroids in Freelancer are wussy wipped versions of the priv ones. Is it at all possible that astroids do major damage instead of your ships just bounching of them like pingpong balls?

-I might have missed it, but will ships be flying at different speed according to their sizes? or will it be like freelancer where every fooking thing is the same.

ONE SPECIAL REQUEST. Since we can fly kilrathi ships please ADD one more ship... the KORAN

one (actually two more things. or even three. ; ) )
1. please tell me how to stop the audio tracks on planets/bases from restarting each time i go to another interface (bar, commodity exchange, ship dealer). i've put in magey's sound files and really enjoy them, but everytime i move to another location while on a base the track stops and a new one starts. this annoyes the hell outta me...
2. i would love to be able to take more than one mission at a time - just like in the original game. please tell me how to make FL let me accept three at once.
3. i would like to use the prisoner image (it appears as cargo on missions where you have to capture some foe) and to make it possible to capture random npc pilots in order to sell them as contraband slaves - like in Privateer. now how do i do that??

thanx everybody for putting so much effort into creating this mod. actually, i wouldn't mind, if the FL universe is COMPLETELY replaced by the PRIVATEER space.

Easy.

In max: Each bit that is going to have a different texture should be made into a seperate object. The orion exists out of 2 meshes each with a different texture.

Just make sure that the first mesh in milkshape is a piece of the model and NOT A HARDPOINT.

oh dont worry we *are* adding a few bits and pieces to systems, but what to add is allways a bit of a conundrum

Also, if possible, can someone model Perry naval base?
( Its far from a concern at present, since we're currently working on Humboldt)
But Perry naval would be nice

As far as I know it is NOT possible to make new cockpit, base and bship models. I could be wrong however.

Stannum, surely theyre constructed the same as the ship models?
I wouldnt know as i dont model myself, but i had a quick look in \data\solar\docakble... would these be the files for the bases?

you had do to a new commodity that is "slave" or something like that.
as for how exactly it has to be done i just dont know, but there are certain mods with this feature. go search a bit

Or instead of a "slave" commodity, what about for ranssom (selling a pilot back to a government)?

Well, I guess you would still need a "slave" commodity though?

And imagine the effect on your reputation if you "spaced" your cargo? A character could go straight to the top of that respective government's most-wanted list!

Would be interesting if such kidnapping maneuvers could be used on ejecting PC's, tractored into one's cargo hold, and ransomed back to their clan or placed on a slave market.

Hehe ... it's Goran. Actually, I was planning on including this originally, but it kind of got sidetracked. Since I was planning on putting Armada ships in anyway this fits neatly into plans.

Rest assured we'll find a way to put it in or die trying. Most likely the latter.

Progress report:

Well, I finished Potter quadrant this afternoon. Mind you, it has no bases, encounters or anything remotely approaching atmosphere. Or stability. But most everything's in the right place.

Future updates will be posted on Wingcenter, despite all the registration being in scary German.
