he said u shut the server down, or something along those lines but refused to comment if u was cheating. and if he banned u cause of these reasons, or now it seems u trying to down him for stabilizing the playing field. i am not one to speak, u have personally helped me loads, atleast when u blew up that massive hfuel cargo train next to the man dock rings. but again, after reading this whole post genedefect does seem real wary, esp about names. one of the mentioned names banned wasnt that much worse the the admin's name himself, genedefect... ;p

Oh by the way... why was it you banned me anyways.... i tried to get an answer out of you and you ignored me. And i can get on your server as many times as i want.. though i must admit the constant rebanning gets to be annoying. But i dont always have to let you know who I am but thats ok. I no longer want to play on your server because it gets old haveing nothing to do with highest ship and best weapons. Thats why I went player hunting if thats what pissed you off. And regardless of what you ASSUME i did honor you little no pk in liberty rule as obsene as the rule may be. If someone doesnt want to be pked.. they should stick to the sp since all youll find is AI without pk.

he was slow to reply to everyone, perhaps that may of been a contributing factor in the delay of a response. perhaps he is alt-tabbing out and in, and perhaps not because u demanded an answer. just a thought, ;p

Umm ok Crono now im lost because i have no idea whats going on...were you talking to me? Something bout crashing the server.. Thats impossible! I know who was doing that ****.. it was that guy who came in with like 6 nomad turrets in manhatten with a hawk. I was right there when he was on and trying to shoot him down then when he was banned he got pissed off. He said he was gonna **** over this server but after that i dont know what name hestarted using or what ip he was under. And i havent the slightest idea how the hell to **** with a server. But i did create a character named go_ahead_ban_me which may have been suspicious. Ill explain. I was bored and i have some mods from another site im in with battlships. I thought since i was bored i would test out the cheap bs mod that lets you buy one in manhatten just to see if it would work.. wich it didnt i might add.. but i knew as soon as i was seen with a bs i would be banned and it was all just for humor and expiriment. I didnt relize it would cause mistaken identity.

I can assure you i wasnt a cheater and there are several players that were with me on most of the time and knew what i was doing and how i built up. And i wouldnt know how to cheat anyways im no hacker. And thanks for replies crono.

whoever was under that name was pretty much freaking out. seconds earlier a character was kicked, and u popped back in. in between the problems stopped. and of course, naming your character "go ahead and ban me" wasnt that smart a move either

I know you have the right to kick/ban anyone you want from your own server (it *is* your bandwidth, after all), but don't you think this is a little stupid? KiddKnap - how in the name of all that is holy is that a 'bad' name? You even blather on about how people should pick their names a little better - but you give no guidelines. So, is this just a total a-hole arbitrary thing for you, or what? My user name is sometimes Al_Humdildo_La; its a takeoff on an Arabic phrase that gets waaaaay overused in the Arabic speaking world. Would I be unwelcome? Ok, fine. Dildo is not a nice word, maybe. But KiddKnap?

Sorry for the rant; again, your rights as SystemOp; but get a clue, ok?

from playing with u, i couldnt tell if u cheated. it def did NOT seem that way. u were helping everyone that came in contact with u. i have nothing but positive words about your action's.

Ya i know that wasnt smart i had no idea what was going on because i havent logged on at all today untill then i knew nothing of any problems.. mustve been a hell of a coincidence. Ive been on this server for weeks before he restarted everyone a week ago or whenever.. strange that suddenly now after all this time i become a target for all this trouble... i was hoping he could explain this to me directly....

Excuse me, but anyone playing this server knows this is far from the truth. I almost never play (work to much) and don't even have a character above lev 5 right now.

Also, you were banned because you created a character called "Ban_me_something_soemthing!"

Well you got your wish.

Now move on if you so wish, but stop trying to ruin my name while you are at it.

The Server is experiencing some stability issues as part of the upgrade.

For those thinking it needs a character drop, If you could see the server you would know that it doesn't. It is running only at 1/2 the available bandwidth w/ 60 characters on. THe CPU sits at 50% also.

What apparently has happened is I am getting some TCP/IP stack corruption from somewhere that is hosing the system. I am resolving this issue now.

was about to say, it isn't on my list anymore. btw gene, how much is this costing u? monthly cost for that line? i had an SDSL line way back, the kind targeted at small corp. it has equal upstream/downstream at 512k. I had this THE SAME TIME we had a cable setup. eeh yeah, we ran both. lucky and greedy, the rest of the house had the cable setup and I personally had the dsl, HAHA. and uh, not very cost efficient either, ;p

For one thing that is different i never left the ground and it was one harmless mod that i never ACTUALLy used i was just seeing if it would work... and it didnt because my knowledge of these sorta things is limited. I just thought that since ive been on the server for so long that i was trusted atleast enough that people knew i wasnt trying to **** anything or cheat.. i was merely checking if it worked then quiting back to my normal character with no mods at all.. it was an innocent thing as anything. I am not so dumb to think I would get away with flying a bs right outside of Manhatten and not get banned like i said i was only seeing if the mod was gonna work..and i also wasnt thinking clearly enough to realize that as the server he would ban both characters, Chibi and Go_ahead_Ban_me at the same time.. Foolish mistake but i still want the server to understand this situation.
