why make fighter cargo space bigger there not freighters!

you reduce freighter an make fighters more why don't you remove the freighters then!

and i think if you reduce it you wont balance it you only make it slower if you make alot of money thats fine but you forget one thing everybody is busy exploring and getting big ships so they wont attack cargo's int he beginning

or they cheat so they have big ships

Why cheat? Just get a legit class 10 ship in 3 hours.

These are just my thoughts reading this topic, but here they come :

- Reduce every fighters cargo space 20-40%. Fighters are made for fighting
not to run cargo.
- Reduce freighters cargo space a bit, like 5-10%
- Make freighters a bit slower (50/250 might be good to test)
- Increase light fighter speed a bit. 80-90.

about this thread. First of all please dont call people "freighter nazi's" Blitz, its just lame and it could hurt people a lot. Second, people, if you dont agree on the balancing done in this mod, dont go in a flamewar with the maker. just ignore it and look at a mod thats agrees more with you own idea's. (like maybe tach's) thats just my thoughts. Btw: i dont agree on the new freighters either But i understand why you changed them blitz.

Some ships will have better shields than their class of weaponry. Liberty and Corsair ships have this feature. Others, such as bounty hunter ships, have high powered weaponry, but a lower class of shield. In general, the harder-to-find ships will still be better than their house counterparts, but the house ships will still be stronger in some areas.

Basic premises of the various classes of ships

Liberty - Strong shields
Bretonia - good cargo
Rhineland - Good armor
Kusari - Strong weaponry
Bounty Hunters - Stong weaponry, weaker shields
Corsairs - Strong shields and armor, weaker weaponry
Civillian - Balanced, with higher cargo capacity
Pirate - balanced, but weaker than average ships

- Freighters will carry 100-150 cargo.
- The Crusader now handles 60 cargo, most of any fighter.
- Armor on freighters has been significantly strengthened, as have the shielding and weapons systems.
- XHF class ships have been significantly weakened, and their cargo capacities vastly reduced. They are by far the best fighters still, but have limitations.
- All ships are at least class 5 except the starflier (3) and startracker (4).

I thing your mod sound pretty good, but i have to agree on the smaller storage not only on fighters but on all ships. I would like to see more people making money on missions rather then trade routes. If you want to make money just buy runing back and forth from one place to another, get a job as a pizza boy

Double freighter's cargo.
Double freighter's armor.
Make Fighters little faster than a freighter.

If you reduce freighters cargo I will never play your ****ty mod.

Well I do need some help =(

I have all the ship specs coded in, but I'm having trouble getting the new, revised stats to appear when you check the ship's info at say... a vendor or in your indo box. I've opened every darn .ini file in the game and it's not there... which means it's embedded in some other file. No idea where to find that info. The mod is playable, but certianly not that impressive without the stats of the ships being available to those who want to buy them.

New freighter stats: (format armor/cargo/weapons - turrets/weapons/shields)

Rhino 4600 100 3/5 2/4 5
Clydesdale 5200 150 3/5 3/5 5
Mule 5200 100 4/4 3/5 5

Dromedary 6600 125 3/5 5/7 8
Drone 6800 125 2/6 6/8 7
Humpback 8800 100 2/6 6/8 8

Some freighters are pretty badass now. Class 8 turrets pack a real punch. You can still make 300k an hour in these ships, I don't see the big freakin deal about the smaller cargo space.

If you want to reduce Freighter cargo capacity, that's fine. They really make it too easy to make money with 250+ cargo.

But why on earth did you increase the fighter cargo capacity? If fighters can generally carry 50-80 cargo and freighters can carry 100-120 cargo, what is the point?

If freighters have reduced cargo capacity, the cargo capacity of fighters should be reduced too, so that freighters are still significantly better for trading than fighters.

There's only one fighter with cargo capacity larger than 45, and thats the Crusader. It's got 60 cargo capacity, and can mount class 7 weapons. Three of the six freighters also can mount class 7 weapons, and all have larger cargo capacity and stronger armor. The Crusader is designed as a hybrid shp. It does not approach the cargo carrying or durability of the freighters. It is simply a ship with the maneuverability of a heavyfighter which can carry more cargo than your average fighter. In short, it will neither fight as well as a comparable fighter, or transport cargo as well as a freighter. But it can do both reasonably well.

Hey Blitz,
Any plans to have these files available to download from somewhere? I am following your progress with considerable interest, but am unable to join Internet servers because of my connection. However, I would like to try it out with friends on our LAN.
So, whenever you feel you've gotten to an alpha that can be released and used by those who know what they're doing, please think about making the files available on a website or something. Thanks, and keep up the good work!
