rapid, are you gonna have rebellion or new republic ships? god i hope so.

and you did say that this was still empty? so i assume there will be more factions, systems, and bases, correct?

last question in this post, do you plan on making the isd and other starship bases mobile?

I haven't started modeling any rebel ship because gun rotation issue was not fixed. They look reall silly on some of the rebel ships when they are going all over the place.

Finally today, i got the gun fixed, they no longer move wildly! and i have put togehter a custom weapon model that is small enough to fit on the wing tip and underneath the cockpit ball of the TIEs. Still working on the chain linked laser effect though.

been pretty busy lately and will be wll for next couple of weeks, and aven't got time to fully test the new weapon yet, once its tested i will proceed and give all TIEs wing tip laser hardpoints for the new custom weapon.

Once i fully got the custom guns under control, rebels will join in soon.

Most of the TIEs now have two red running light at the back under the engine to simulate the TIE effect. And contrail have been removed on the TIEs, didn't seem right to have contrails coming from solar pannels.

lol, what can i say, spell check killed my spelling ability, i corrected it last night.

An additional seperate model pack will be release once all the models planned for this pack (ships and weapons) is completed and the small system is done. Hard to say when but i'll try to have it out soon.

sorry about the delay but trying to put together a more complete package this time, and it will be more fun for you guys and it will also help us get more information to develop better stuff for the next pack.

the falcon is not ready yet, its not up to scale (a bit small), going to have that corrected as well.

There will only be a very limited number of new faction in the new system, and ISD will verly likely to be immbile at release. Unless, we get the .sur file and docking issue working perfectly by then. I doubt it though, they might take a while. The size of ISD is roughly 2-3 times as long as a rh battleship and 3 times as wide.

The biggest texture i used so far is 512 by 512, and thats on the ISD.

Stupid question time. There was a Falcon released in that new ship pack on the main page. How similar is that to yours, or is it yours, or did you even know about it?

Can't wait to hear more on your work, you guys are doing great ^_^

GAG model the mesh for the Falcon and it is textured by DA. Its not the same falcon used in the B5 mod.

I am still working on the TIE lasers at the moment, its done for TIE Fighter and TIE Fighter Adv with the laser under the cockpitballl, but its somewhat ticky for the TIE Interceptor and TIE Defender at the wing tip, its still bee worked on. Also when you purchse a TIE, their custom lasers will come with the new ship and equipped at a proper hardpoint.

Modeling wise, one more ship to go and that is the TIE Bomber.
No rush but whoever's doing the Assault Gun Boat please email me and let me know when it will be done. Thanks in advance.

To be honest haven't got around to the Falcon yet. Hopefully soon.

Been busy putting in some Imperial Navy Pilots to fly the TIEs and putting in some custom formation for the TIEs and npc ship encounters in general in the new system.

here is a screenshot of one of the custom formation of a TIE defence group partroling the parameter of a Star Destroyer.
Imperial Navy Defensive Formation

Formation leader is the TIE Fighter Advanced with Two TIE fighters as wing men and two TIE Interceptors as escort fighters. The nearest TIE Fighter ADV in shot is me flying in formation with them.

rapid, it looks fantastic! Especially the whole formation and the ISD in the background.

Everything looks nice on this screen and till now, I can´t say you, what you can do better (told you last time, to change the texture of the ISD a little bit).

Only a question, do you have ICQ or anything else?

still waiting for a list of ships to be used! rapid, whenever you decide all the ships to be used, i will post info about them. updates always welcome :-D


also, something seems to be wrong wih the targeting boxes, they are too low on the ships. the lead target cross is too low to aim at to hit the ship. just for your info.

PS: what Siddious said about the targeting reticle being too low, I've noticed something similar to this; when buying a TIE when you grab it and turn it around in the buying window it also appears not to be centered, almost like the TIE is mounted on TOP of something invisible (hope this makes sense, cause its hard to explain)

@ Siddious: Would you mind digging up some SW format stats for me on the Gunboat? I'm gonna need something to base my ini entries and hardpoints on... 2 lasers below, 2 ion cannons above, two missile banks... but speed, manuvere, shields, hull... those are things I don't remember from playing TIE Fighter. Send the list to [email protected] if you could please! Thanks a bundle!

[EDIT Speaking of ion cannons... is there any planning in the works to make an ion cannon equivelant? I figure it would be somthing like a shield-buster but i'm not sure if we can do anything beyond that. Also... i have two modeled missile banks with polygonal missiles in them... is there a way to get missiles to appear like they're popping out of those? Create the hardpoint inside the model maybe? Any suggestions welcome.

Is this part of the StarWars Mod? if you know are they progressing well or is this the begining of it
