Ahhh WC3 memories

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

a nice collection - wish I could have kept mine together in a nice condition, though it was nowhere near as complete i had WC1&2 (20 something 3.5 disks hehe) Academy, Privateer, and Prophecy (which is still one of my favorites)

of all of these prophecy is the only one I still have, probably because it's on CDs and as such it never mattered whether they got coffee/soda spilled on them/left out to collect dust

Oooo arrr nice collection Taw, those manuals would make good bed time reading. My nostalgia gland has been tickled by this thread so I've hunted and secured original copies (with boxes and manuals) of WC3 and 4 over Ebay. Me old ones were PS1 copies which I tossed years ago.

I also have WC for SNES, with a US converter - and I've still got me SNES too! Also WC3 and WC4 for PS1, and we've still got a PS1 (the original Playstation not that white PS-One thing) and Prophecy for GBA (but our GBA is a yellow Pikachu one so the embarassment factor is rather high)

Methinks it might be time to drag the Playstation out of the attic for the weekend. It's still a shame that I can't play as a Kilrathi, I'd much rather be on the cats' side against Confed.

No, that's just a 'Random Effs Comment", they're always slightly related to the topic at hand, but not really.

My job is done then, hell I've just spent 80 mustantopian roubles at the ebay retro store getting old copies. Got my copy of WC3 through the mailtron last night, I forgot how cool new games were in the 90's. All the goodies included were...for lack of a better word....good.

I'd encourage you to convert WC3, WC4 and, if possible, WC5 onto separate DVDs Musty. I did, and I haven't looked back. Damn CD-swapping *grumbles*.

I wasn't even aware that you'd played any of the WC series, Flopsy; every day's a school day, eh?

Mind you, aren't they a bit demanding for Typhon ? after all, you need at least a 386DX for WC - you could think about upgrading to Pentium a bit later (in a few years maybe?) for WC3 and 4.

I've got some spare SIMMS, if you need any?

No thanks, I moved to DIMMs long ago, ISA-Man! 64k Trident cards; Taw still buys them from his local supplier! *Snorffles in amusement* As for WC, I have tweaked Typhon to run those games very well, thank you very much!

I do actually, for the old Apricots that are still on the warehouse floor. And to provide rabbits with spares.
