site connectability

Hi folks, I've got a problem.
It's not really hardware (I hope) but I would still like to ask you, since it's the only place I know that might be able to help me.

There's this site I'm trying to connect to, but I can't for some dodgy reason. I know the site isn't down because I can reach it from another PC at work.
I've had troubles connecting to this site before, but I was always able to reach it, until last night. I hoped it was just a glitch, but it seems to be persistant.

I've not installed anything prior to this problem.
I've always been able to reach it from my work-pc and I've always had problems connecting to the site from my home-pc.

I can ping the site, and tracert comes back without time-outs.
I've even installed Firefox to see if IE6.0 was the issue, but that didn't resolve it either

My system specs:
Intell Pentium 4 2.66GHz
512 RAM
WinXP Home SP2

HELP! Please.

It happens with the Phoenix RPG site as well ( http://www.phoenix-rpg.ca ), and I can only conclude that occasionally Shaw's DNS servers don't know how to resolve the site,
