A Small q on RAM

I have heard on some of the posts that some laptops graphics cards share the same RAM as the sytems RAM, Would it be Possible to get an ordinary graphics card in a ordinary PC to do the same eg use it's onboard RAM + some of the systems???

Its better to NOT share the ram. That makes graphics slower. A seprate card, with 128 to 256 Mb is more ideal. I have a laptop with 1.5GB ram 128 mb of it shared for graphis, and it won't run oblivian.
