DOSBox *can* be tricky, but it works for most games. The only problem is that it is CPU-bound (of course), which means that some games won't run at an optimum speed on anything less than a 2.8. My 2.4 for example, can't play "Death Rally" or "Tie Fighter" at a framerate that I see as acceptable, but they DO work. As for 95/98 games, have you tried "QFixApp"?

could be your dos files or in general your 32bit dos files. windows service pack 2 deletes these out making older games near impossible to play or install(freespace, duke nukem) u could try reinstall your dos files u may have to rewrite them.... (it not that hard just go to google and search for 32dos file error's) if u check your pc for the 32dos file it might still be there but more than likely it just an empty file or folder but if they are still there u may be able to enable them just do a google search
